Hmmmm!
Well after suffering thorugh that non effort on a cold winter Melbourne night at the MCG, I have nothing but utter concern that we have allowed things to get to this.
Yeah i know we have injuries. But who hasn't. The McGuire plan is a complete failure. The loss of our real home ground, the worst period of on field failure in our club history, and a board who just sit back and seem unwilling or unable to make the required changes has Collingwood Football Club a mere dwarf of it's great former self.
Now Eddie to his credit just keeps rolling in the corporate sponsorships and big money. But what are we in the competition for? The Admin Cup or that One Day In September. Under Eddie (a journo) by trade, our club has become a on field laughing stock. Let us get a board in who get will make the hard decisons and sack this failing football department.
And to those who spend all their time on this website bagging this post stop making me laugh. For you seem to think we have no problem at Collingwood. And no problem that we let it get to this. And no problem just remaining in reverse cruise control. Go away.
For those of you who think we have no problem requiring immediate action. You are part of it.

I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

10 more shots
10 more shots in second half for a 10 point gain on the Ess's score. Game over.
Magpies love pies(Lol)
Im not sure i can take anymore of this.
I might seriously resign as a collingwood supporter.
Week after week, it just goes on and on.
Skillless, softness, slowness, weakness, carelesness, hackness and anymore esses you can think of.
Fanning was good tonight along with bucks, holland, maxwell and egan late.

Disgraceful. Weak. The worst effort I have seen live by a CFC side. They deserve to cop it. They should have smashed Essendon. Some big calls are to be made.
Tarrant, I don't know what to do. I now see LM's side. He was disinterested. Shawry had a few interesting comments on the radio...
Bucks - You legend. It reminded me of 1998/1999. Ouch.
Ben Johnson. Shocker. Richard Cole. Shocker. Ryan Lonie. Shocker. Need I go on?

more scoring shots, more inside 50's, highest possession getters on the ground were holland and buckley and licca was in there too yet our conversion is poor.
Can someone kick a bloody goal!!!!
On Fanning, 28 hitouts which is his best by far this year, but he was up against no competition and i think Cartledge was more effective as he got a goal and contested a few possessions.
Fanning out of 28 hitouts probably had only 1 or 2 effective ones. He has much to learn. HOwever good to see him finally register some stats in the hitout column, for a ruckman he has not been winning any tapouts.
Rowe showed he could kick in the last quarter with 2 beauties off his wrong foot. Hopefulyl that will give the boy some confidence as he played terribly the first 3 quarters. Showed enough but. What a mark he took.
Out of Lloyds 8 goals, 3 were absolute give me's infront of goal of weak as piss free kicks. Maxwell got a touch up from lucas.
Thats the worst our backline has performed in a while but it was up against unstoppable competition.
Essendon got only missed 5 shots on goal or so and converted 20 whereas we missed about 14 shots. Again you can criticise tarrant, was not a good night again but our huge problem was lack of presence around the half forward line. Travis Cloke got injured about 3 times again, i really hope he does not turn out to be another injury prone player. Hall was too young and didnt get any game time really to show anything. At time our forward line consisted of only 1 tall.
Thank god for Buckley giving us a bit of presence at half forward and maxwell showed a little bit late as we just had no targets. Tarrant was outnumbered remarkably.
Leon showed a bit of spark again, was important at times, won some clearences and i thought an ok night from him.
The huge concern for me was ben johnson. Either he is unfit or taking a long time to regain form because he refuses to put his body in, he has no dash and gets caught far too often.
Votes for best on ground:
3. Buckley
2. Holland
1. Licuria
Votes for worst:
3. Ben Johnson: Out of touch
2. Travis Cloke: injury or no injury, when he was onfield he couldnt buy a touch. However we'll let him off here, he was injured a lot of the time
1. Richard Cole: Not a lot of game time but 6 touches in his comeback game is hardly anything to write home about.
special mentions to Presti, sorry if you get 8 kicked on you, you've had a bad night....but he was robbed by umps, any other player wouldve conceded 15. Also special mentions to Maxwell and Lockyer.
Really, no one had a real shocker, they were just farrrrrrrr harder. What epitomised the game was the amount of slipped tackles. I think Lockyer and JOhnson are the major culprits here.

Agree 100% Greg. This guy has some ticker, some courage and some will to win. A future leader, who can play as a forward (35forever - you were right!).Also Maxwell was the only player to fly the flag all night when Cloke got hurt. How piss weak was that by the other players?
Maxwell again showed why he is picked ahead of J Cloke. He is more versatile and has better skills.
Maxwell is going to make it.
BTW - Match Report up soon.
