I do have a feeling about tonight's game, the wet weather will hopefully allow us to run over the top of them.

We need to run and move the ball quickly into the forward line to stop the Essendon players getting back. With the likes of Rusling, Cloke of the T variety and Tarrant down there we should be able to out mark them more often than not. Fletcher is overrated, he will be exposed tonight and Tarrant will kick 5 goals.

Pies by 24 points in wet conditions !

Cannot wait to give it to the Essendon supporters...

Yep - i think we'll stretch their backline. That's probably a contributing factor to Halls debut,.. not just the ruck!
Richmond did it well - we should do it better!!!

Pies by 24.... although i'm not getting any 'feeling'

AND i seem to have lost my Friday Night Fever after coming down with a bad case of Saturday Night Sorrows last week

There is a cure however - a WIN!!!!!

Must win. If there was ever a chance to beat the Bombers, and to beat them well....NOW, is the time. We must obliterate them, absolutely smash 'em, and run 'em ragged.

I would be. We need a backup ruckman, and Hall is it. Not sure who would go out.

I'm with you i_luv_tarkyn!, got a good good feelin about this game tonight.... should I be worried ... probably... if we play anywhere near our best we should be way too good for the bummers!! (Love that name).

I'm probably not allowed to do this but hey......
If anyone is still looking for a ticket one of the guys I was going with has just SMS'd me to tell me he's crook. We'll be sitting on the third level in the Southern Stand, section P9. Ticket is worth over $40 but I'll take the nearest offer..... give me a yell on PM if you or someone you know is interested.

GO PIES ... TIME TO KICK SOME BUMMER BUTT!

Struggling to decide which team the rain will suit actually.

On one hand, we are the renowned wet weather team of the comp. However we have not played a wet game yet this year. With so many newbies to our team, we have not seen them in the wet. Egan, Rowe, Rusling, Trav, Hall, Fanning, Maxwell...can they play wet.

Essendon are no good in the wet, however they have played in it twice in 3 rounds. They played well against the eagles but didnt win. They were pathetic against the tigers. They also have new kids but atleast they have 2 games of experience in wet weather this year.

However i think the decisive factor is the form of Licuria, Burns, Holland, O'Bree, Buckley and Johnson which will push it in our favour. Thats an experienced midfield who will just love the wet weather. Apart from the JOhnsons, peverill and maybe stanton, i doubt murphy, lovett, dyson, monfries, cupido will enjoy the conditions.

Our forward line needs a big bad bustling character in the wet as we rely on hitting rusling, trav and tarrant on leads. Neither is fantastic at contested marks or breaking up packs. Rocca has been missed. Hall needs to show physicality and he will worry Bradley and SOloman up there.

Our backs will also loveeee the wet conditions as clement and maxwell, swan and presti do not mind the in and under hard stuff whereas lloyd and lucas may stay out.

I also see Trav playing well as he is fantastic below his knees and can play small. We are more suited to the conditions by far but we will learn alot about players like Lonie, Egan, Rowe who have question marks over their hardness.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

Yes, I was joking, the point being that playing Taz at FF when he refuses to take it seriously is suicidal.
Of course he takes it seriously! The amount of running and leading he does is excellent.

The wet will suit us.

I wouldnt count on it being very wet tonight, not much rain predicted, maybe the odd shower.

Not sure why, but I actually dont have a very good feeling about tonight, unlike many others here. I think we should win, and I did tip us to win, but maybe its just the memory of Essendon whipping us far too often of late that is still fresh in my memory.

Or maybe the memory of last Saturday night is still too fresh. I guess it will be interesting to see if we can bounce back. A good side will.

We have the team to match Essendon in every aspect I think, if we go direct and move the ball quickly, we may be OK. Will be interesting to see how Hall goes. Good luck to him.

GO PIES! (prove me wrong!)

The big question is: Now the players know the eight is out of the question will they still care about winning another game? I had my doubts as we gave up last year around the same time. And now its 3qtr time they've done their darnest to prove they care about no-one but themselves only their payslip. The members paid for a 22 game season and this team left for the end of season trip after 15 rounds.

One of our worst efforts ever against a fairly weak Essendon side!

Time for Tazz to have an op, Trav to rest that hip (and ribs??) and hoo-roo to a couple of others.

Must play Didak (of course), Davidson, Tex and Rusling next week- even consider B.Shaw if he plays well on Sunday.

Time to get the rather large broom out and clean out Lexus Centre of dead wood!!

I'm sick of insipid efforts like tonight- (Good to see Fanning have his best game and Egan do 'a bit' tho').

C'mon Pies- we expect better than this.
