Collingwood V Bummers game thread

There is 1 day and a bit and no match thread? Has everyone jumped off board?
With no Mcphee and Hird anything other than a win would be a disgrace.

I've got a fairly good feeling about Friday night and I'm really looking forward to it.

After last weekends pathetic display I would be pretty annoyed if they don't bounce back this week.
There is just one team we favour...

Yeh I am sick of losing to Essendon every time we play them. I want to see a thrashing not just a win  Every 2nd team has gotten well on top of Essendon this year why cant we?

It doesnt matter what position essendon are or we are, collingwood vs essendon is always a good match and the dons have the wood over us, it must be said.

We must be weary as the dons will play a young team eager to impress, and they copped a spray from sheedy which should fire them up. Yes they are missing hird and mcphee but our list is much longer.

Fraser, Rocca, Didak, Cloke, Richards, Morrison are just a few. Tarrant is still unlikely and there are minor concerns over wakelin. Brent Hall will have to ruck against Hille who is clever and Laycock who tore us up anzac day. He and Fanning are no remarkable ruck combination.

Dont get me wrong, we should win this match, we are better everywhere. I just wouldnt get too confident. But we should be just as fired up as the dons after our loss last week and Buckley will be very eager to make his impression felt against the Dons. Our core midfield unit is full strength and our backline is full strength. Hird and Mcphee are big losses for the bombers in these areas. Lloyd and Lucas will have trouble.

Rusling may also be out which may allow Davidson to be played and i wouldnt be suprised if he is. Other inclusions to look out for are richie cole and jason cloke who may come in along with Hall.

ins: Cole, Hall ......if injured Rusling and Tarrant and Wakelin
outs: Davis, Cam Cloke........Davidson, Jason Cloke as emergencies to cover talls and Iaccobucci as 3rd emergency for some run.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

Both Hille and Laycock are injured so it should be an interesting ruck duel!

Really looking forward to this game.Due to having to work alot more late shifts this year my membership has not been swipped many times at all this season. But I have a really good feeling about this week. Our form since being 1 and 7 has been overall pretty good.apart from the first half last week against the Bears and the last quarter of the snow bunnies game.Plus if we can get over the line this week the dream is just marginally alive for another week.

If it is wet I would like to see the Yak or a shaw come in to play that ground level position that McGough played. We do well in the wet and a young small options seems smarter than too many talls.

ok I am going to take a punt on the team. My assumption being C2, Tarrant out injured and a few for Willo:-

Johhno (he may be out injured?) Presti Maxwell

C1 Clement (thank the lord) Swan

Lonie Bucks Lockyer

Burns C3 Carcella

Davis Rusling Egan

Fanning Lica Holland

int: Hall, O'Bree, H Shaw, Yakka

out C2(inj), Tarrant(inj), Waks(prob inj),

in H Shaw, Yakka and Hall

if Johnno is injured in R cole he may be in anyway

but it won't happen !!!!

well, we just have to win, simple as that. If not, they are on top of us, and that's UNAHSEPTIBLE

Even though we have only won 2 of the past 14 matches against Essendon, I'm feeling confident of a Magpie victory. Bost sides look to have injuries but our backline should hold up and keep Essendon to a low score. Pies by 32
