Isn't Holland Dutchy? or is there another Holland in our team?

We had one chance in this match to make an impression. It was at the end of the 1st quarter, they were 25, we were 3 and had been totally outplayed. Enter Caracella, he marks within 40 directly infront on a ground he knows well. Bread and butter for blake.

A goal puts us within 16 points and gives us hope going into the first change. A miss leaves us goaless and nearly 4 goals down and heads would start sinking. After been totally outplayed, to go into the break 16 points down wouldve been as good as a lead.

Blake misses, we dont go close to scoring until the 3rd quarter and brisbane go out to a 50 point lead.

Boys playing men. Physically intimidated as soon as they step on the field against them. They have our measure mentally and physically.

Dead right there. Rocca is about our only intimidator. I was never a huge rap on Molloy but he did have that hardness factor going for him. At the moment there is no-one. Our big blokes are Fanning (beanpole), Clokes (kids although they are prepared to throw themselves in), Tarrant (injured and not quite big enough anyway), Prest (stopper, not a charger), Wakelin (not big enough)... so it's left to scotty burns to throw his weight around and he is fighting out of his weight division against Michael, Keating, Charman, Brown etc.
All the top teams seem to have a few of these bruisers...

Not having a dig at Mick because its definately not his fault we were humiliated by the Lions, but I wonder wether Wayne Carey would be interested in coaching the Pies some time in the near future, he has a great football brain and good eye for talent...........and no I dont mean the ladies.

Can't go along with Carey... he might be everything you say but i don't think too many members would be keen to have him at our club. Might have a mutiny on our hands! I want Mick to stay, but if we have to suggest option what about O'Donnell or Cresswell?

He is, sadly. A good caller when we aren't playing. Quarters is much worse. I swear he is a closet Brisbane supporter.

Over 12 of them you'd think.

Exactly.

As for coaches, I'd be looking at Mick McGuane, Mark Bickley and Garry O'D.

The match? A debarcle. I'll have a few more comments when I have had another look at the video. Go Pies. Now and forever.

Super-Embarrassing

I would love to know what the 'game plan' was. We just put no pressure on their disposal at all & they always had numbers - It's hard to properly gauge things on TV, but thankfully i wasn't at the game!!!

As if i don't already hate Walls & Lane enough,....ggggrrrrrrrr
[Although i would've liked to do the commentary for the Blues V Saints game especially for Mr Lane myself !!!! 8) ]
