Looks like he's in now.bringbackheathscotland wrote:Can't agree more with this. Leon has played some absolute stinkers agaist the lions. Maybe he can slow us what he's made of and come play a blinder but I doubt it. Lokan has kicked a few agaist the lions in the past and was ok up there last year. Never thought I would actual write that but hey.Johnson#26 wrote:I can't see Neon in this week. He has always struggled against the Lions.
We have a better forward/backline than them. Only concern is the midfield where I can see us getting flogged. Aka has been in great form the little prick and could be heading for another brownlow.
Cam Cloke is very important to the outcome of this game. If he can stand up in the middle and make a few things happen at the centre bounce we might have a crack. An unknown is going to have to have a blinder for us to win this game. Maybe Rusling can kick a bag and we get over the line.

Im really worried about the ruck, the way Keating bashes it forward, usually straight into the running Acker et al. Just dont think we have the player to match it with him.
Would absolutely love to see the boys win, but dont think it will happen. However if the game was played in Melbourne Id be far more confident. Nonetheless, lets hope our boys put up a hard, physical and spirited fight, and see if we can hold our heads high.
GO PIES!!

simple, stop jonathon brown you have brisbane. If you do not believe this, look at their early season form. They could not buy a win, they lost to the hawks for christ sake. Bring him in and they are premiership favourites again. Kill Brown

our defence is good but this is by far its biggest challenge with j brown at full flight. CLement plays on smaller forwards usually. Playing clement on brown is dangerous but allows clement into the middle where his presence will be valuable with his beautiful kick. In the backline, it will be a matter of double teaming brown. I think clement is the man for the job but is his biggest test in a while and hasnt played on anyone close to browns standard. Cam Cloke has to get his fat ass in the way. Presti is needed on Bradshaw. Take away his 9 goals and we are a better chance. Id make sure presti does this.

This is going to be tough for us but not unwinnable. MM has set it up with his comments about no respect so you can expect our boys to come out firing.
Brown is a big problem for us but I am sure Presti and Wakes can tag team and keep him reasonable quiet. Probably the biggest danger for us is their midfield with Aker, Black and Power all firing at the moment.
I will be there to cheer the boys on and hope to meet up with others from here at the Qld Magpies function or at the game.

akermanis, black, and lappin are their clearance kings. We must shut them down, and cut the feed to bradshaw and brown.
We also have to ensure that they do not get a start. That has just about always been a problem for us in games we've lost to them.
One thing we should note, although finals are a very outside chance, we do not have to win this one, i.e. it is not the end of the world. Considering our form over the last 6 weeks we are still a shot at winning 6 of the last 7 after this round.

That would help but probably not enough.
Brown was reasonably well held last week yet the lions blew apart a decent group int he demons.
