Ok Ok, please don't use Rowe and classy in the same sentence. We won the game because he was absent for large patches.

9 kicks - 5 of them straight to a Port player.

O'Bree started off slow.. 5 turnover kicks, 1 turnover free and 1 turnover handball before half time... BUT didn't have a turnover after that and worked his arse off at the bottom of packs the whole game - something Woewodin will never do like he does.

Our intensity was fantastic. Theirs was non-existent. Make no mistake there is more going on behind the scenes at Port that is dragging them into mediocrity than Choko would lead you to believe. Major troubles.

You are seeing the end of Tarrant as a key forward methinks. Rusling had 5 scoring shots, 1.4... but turn that into 4.1 and ma hey we got something there. Both players workrates are brilliant. With Rus to replace him, Tazz can spend more time running around racking up possies and using it well.

It was good we won but we won ugly.

I'm happy with the result but I am not getting too excited Port were absolutley pathetic and they wasted even more opportunities than us.

I agree with people's thoughts about Didak. In the game against Hawthorn he was credited with being able to keep his cool. But since the Geelong game he has begun going back to his old ways. He needs to pull his head in, hopefully being dragged will be the message he needs. If he starts putting himself ahead of the team again in Brisbane I think a week in Willi might be required.

Very ordinary game of footy. A good side would have put Port away by 10+ goals tonight. If we play like that against Brisbane we will get absolutely monstered mark my word.

Having said that the intensity and pressure are there. It is just all very sloppy by foot and movement of the ball in general.

The win was good, especially after last week's loss.

But I'm tired of hearing this crap about how Port are back, how they were caught off guard tonight, looked tired, and whatever.

Fact: Their last win (while impressive) was against a pathetic Hawhtorn.
Fact: The only team they've beaten in the top eight were the Kangaroos who were in a form slump at the time.
Fact: "Wilson takes Power to full strength" They even claimed in reports they were at full strength where as we were obviously not.

Translation: Fun win. Port sucked before. Suck now. Blah blah.
Match in the gas tank...

Boom, boom.

We were ok but like Cam I couldnt believe how bad Port were.

Burgoyne, Lade, Wanganeen and Brogan for starters were absolutely terrible - is it just me or does Port always put in a shocker at the dome?

First quarter we looked the better side by far and if it wasnt for Lonie being loose on Dew it could have been worse - first quarter was Collingwood Vs Dew.

You would have had to expect Port to run over us with the week off and although they were running better in the second half they never really looked like taking it.

Better players:

Holland - Super by foot all night and looked a class above
Maxwell - Starting to look polished now and has a good future
Lockyer - Excellent game, controlled half back in the first half and never put a foot wrong

Trav Cloke - Made some mistakes but showed first signs of having a strong physical presence tonight

Shockers:

Rowe - How this guy gets a game of senior football is beyond me

Others:

Licca - Came into the game in the second half when Port were coming into it and had an impact

O'Bree - Still struggling with his disposal but worked very hard

Rusling - We know he is the quickest guy at the club and saw signs of it in the first quarter, if we can deliver it to him into space he will be hard to stop.

Well done to Malthouse as well for planning a win that looked against the odds.

On Port, last year they lost to the shit from Windy Hill at the Dump and looked worse than they did tonight, and they still went on to win the Flag, I aint writing them off. They just cant play the dump for shit but luckily for them the Finals arent played at the Dump

The greatest thing to come out of tonights game was that Lonie is back.

All those that wanted him traded think again, i commend him on his

perseverance. Go you good thing, show us all what you can become.

He played probably his best game - but dont let that stop you.

I see you've managed to bag Jules too...nice work. Nothing like celebrating a good win by having a dig at two kids along the way.

Can you please rephrase that with fewer ideas, or different thoughts?
