Interesting point that, watching him kick for goal a few times this year he looks extremely comfortable and accurate, give him a go at HF now that the pressure is off.

Rowe shows the ability. Don't tell me he will not make the grade. He is one bloke who we CAN possibly pin a few of our hopes on. He makes a good wingman. I hope the skills just come with experiance and confidence.

I had a lovely time in Sydney and the result hasn't put me off the side. Those who wish to bag can do so to their heart's content as far as I'm concerned, 'cause I'm not worried. The way I see it is that in our last five games we've played four sides who will play finals and may finish top four. We won two and lost two, one by a miserable point. In my opinion, that makes us the equal of the sides in the Four. That we won't make the Four is due entirely to our rotten start to the season. I'm tipping a win on Friday night and I'm not yet convinced Brisbane will beat us, so we could come out of this critical three game period with possible 1 or 2 wins, which will set us up for the barnstorming finish to the season that I predicted a few weeks back. Yeah, the optimist lives on. If I was to cast myself into the despair I see in some of you, life wouldn't be worth living. See youse all at the Dome on Friday night.

Just got back from Sydney last night thought I would post a few thoughts.

Alan Didak arrgh! I know it has been said already but geez his soccer background really came back and bit us in the ass! Why not just pick the ball up! Frustrating but there is nothing you can do now I guess.

Few positives, Swan and Maxwell. Dane had another great game, gives us some run and finds a lot of the ball. Maxwell, getting better each week, kicked a ripper of a goal. Anyone considered him as a foward if he can kick like that? Seems like he is more accurate than most of our kicks, although he is doing well down back.

Onto a few grumbles, Presti got mauled all day by Hall who was probably the match winner. Hard to blame Presti since it was his first bad game for the year but he seemed to be right next to Hall and still couldn't spoil him - if Swan was hurting last week I hope Presti is hurting this week because he really cost us. He'll bounce back. Fanning back to the 2's wasnt up to it. Anyone know why T Cloke was on the bench most of the day?? Thought we lost a target across CHF when he went off in the 2nd and 3rd quater and that is when we really lost it. Puzzling.

Steve wrote:some fairly ordinary bagging, how can you bag O'Bree for turning it over when he had more efective kicks than most? simply blinded by your dislike of him?.

Rowe will be a good player for us and he won't be the first with ordinary disposal to come good, remember licca's?

Not a whole lot of bagging in ths thread really but O'Brees stats that was supposedly effective looked fairly ordinary to most people.

Comparing Rowe to Lica is like comparing apples to oranges, Rowe is not a solid boddied in an under player he is a receiver but that type of player with poor disposal is not going to ever demand a position in the side and he should be looked at as trade bait if there are any takers.
