So what if he was collected. His hands were free.
You can see it all over Swan. He is scared of contact. He knew it was coming and went at it with finger tips.
If he was desperate he would have held that ball to the ground and run harder. The ball would have spilt for a behind if he was running hard. He knew Goodes was there.
Barry Hall also kicked a goal because Swan didnt put his body on the line. You forgot to mention that one too. Barry didnt forget to tell us.
P.S. I am not blaming swan for the loss just do your numbers before you get stuck into Max for apparently losing us the game.
Oh yeh and Hall missed that kick... *phew* lol.. my point still remains though

Good players should not come off rotate the shit one's we have enough of them

After watching tonights game, you just get the impression that we still have a heap to look 4ward to next year and beyond.
I agree,
CAM CLOKE had his best game yet, really gave us something to work with in the last quarter. Cant understand why Fanning got somuch playing time in the ruck.
O'BREE may have been at times dissapointing with his disposals, but i dont see anyother players getting 30poss and the in and under clearances which gave us a chance to steal it in the last quarter
SWAN was tough and played his guts out. Had some bad luck in the last quarter, but the kids still got alot to show. His never gonna be a star, but you need players like him who will give u a 100% regardless.
MAXWELL played another great game. You gotta remember his as young as they come, and to be playing in a backline which has had the pressure on all year. His been the real suprise packet. Great spoiler and at times can be very creative. Would choose him over Wanalosetheball Cole anyday.
LONIE has gotta be given more of a chance up forward. His nearly impecible on the run, and there arent many players out there wid the trait
LOKAN, WOEWODIN they have gotta go. What worth are they in the team right now?? Woe is too slow and so low on confidence its a disgrace. I cant stand the sight of him near or with the ball. He brings nothing to the team, and dont know why we dont give a raw young kid a shot instead. We dont have nothing to lose anymore. And LOKAN?!?! Why the * would you keep him in the side and leave out RUSLING? Another quik, marking forward. Why?? Please, someone tell me what his purpose in the 22 tonight was? Its as if he didnt even play.
But anyhow, i still think we will knock over Port next week at the dome. We only lost by a point against a top four side interstate, keep that in mind.

I have'nt watched the game as yet. But it's amazing how by making a few positional changes a game can change a espescially when it's close. It was obvious we would miss the run out of defence that Racer or Johnno usually supply and I reckon is one of the reasons why our tall fowards were not effective (the ball only getting in with more set plays but not getting in enough from rebounds at a faster rate. I reckon it's going to be a problem in our next games until johnno gets back. The melbourne game was a perfect example where, when Racer was on the park we were able to compete and strech Melbourne. Once Rhyce was injured we had few runners (remember johnno was out) Rowe and Tarks have tried but their disposal has mot been the best. On the other hand It's great to have Bux back and he sure can hit targets. The loss has certainly put my finals hopes out the window. But as all die hard supporters do let's see what is in stall for our beloved team

Shut down Tredrea and weaken the effect of Chad Cornes and we should be able to handle them.
Lookout for a big game from Tarrant. With Bucks entry into the forward 50 at the Dome our forwards will have a lot more of an effect.
Hope to see Rusling and Leon back in the team. And once and for all, see the backs of Woe and Lokan. I dont wanna see them in the black and white EVER AGAIN.

Funny kind of Loss really, great Effort from the guys tonight, is always a tough ask for any side to go up to Sydney and come away with a win, tonight was no different....Bux was an absolute Champion, Burns was his usual "god" like self and both O'bree and Woey played well enough to be considered senior footballers at the club still and Lonie played a good game as well....Presti....you freakin legend, although Hall got a couple you completely put him off his game..a great effort....
These young kids are the real deal, Egan looks likely to be a gun in the middle, his skills and his abiltity around the footy are fantastic....with Fraz, Johno, Rocca and Rhyce Shaw all looking on and kids like the Cloke Brothers, Tex Walker, The rest of the shaws, Ruzza & Yakka etc waiting in the wings...well 2006 is looking awefully damn good.....has anybody else noticed that this team strongly resembles the team we had in 2001??? could not quite get over the line in the big games that year either...I think all you doomsayers need to have a hard look at what is currently going on down at Collingwood...to me they are building one hell of a footy team....I am excited!!
Cheers

Another 'gallant loss'...........is anyone else sick of hearing that?? I hate being reminded at what a player Williams is everytime we play the Swans, easily the best player Collingwood has let go in 10 or so years. We have the team to be in the finals, we have shown that by being in match winning positions in most games this year only to let it slip.
On a positive note the cloke boys played a good game, Bucks looked great and Johnno should be back next week.
Been looking forward to our clash with Brisbane in two weeks time, hoping like hell the boys can shake off the dominance they have held over us since the Grand Finals. C'MON PIES!

No way you can't be serious...thats why your in QLD and we are here in VIC. Tex Walker won't play for Collingwood next year, Woey played about 15 minutes tonight and you certainly can't rate his season.
As for the rest of the Shaws...I go to watch Willi most weeks and mate Ryce Shaw is the only one of the Shaw's that will get a game the other 2 Heath and Brayden..are to skinny and not tough enough for the big time.
Yes next year looks promising with Egan and Yakka..but don't think for one minute we don't need to get some quality back into our side.

I am sure I'm gunna get jumped on here, and yes yes i realise that there were others who were worse, but I thought James Clement didn't have his best game tonight. A couple of times he was a bit loose on O'Loughlin, close out a O'Loughlin duly booted home.
Shane Woewodin is the most overrated player in the team. He really, really should be traded if any team would be stupid enough to take him.

Shane Woewodin isnt overrated
As for Port, they are our bitches? yeah well so is Adelaide, Kangaroos, Western Bulldogs, St Kilda. What happen in those 4 games again?
Chad Cornes will have his greatest game ever next week, I will be putting him in my dream team unless Mick is going to change our forward line structure finally

Narr I will agree with that he only got me 41 in the Dream Team this week...so definately had a down game. Still he is a rock and mate of all players this year he is certainly entilted to have 1 downerbucks_for_brownlow wrote:I am sure I'm gunna get jumped on here, and yes yes i realise that there were others who were worse, but I thought James Clement didn't have his best game tonight.
