In the pre-match press conference with Bucks, MM stated that Josh and Johnno definitely won't play. He didn't discuss replacements, apart from saying it will be guys who have been 'on the cusp' (presumably one of the emergencies Egan, Lokan or Rusling).

He said Johnno was very close but the injury just hasn't come up, and Josh's knee is simply 'not settling' after the injury. According to MM, the surgeons and medicos say Josh will be right long-term, but they just don't know when the knee will settle. He also made reference to Chad being injured and reminded everyone how big the loss of Rhyce is.

Plenty Northern Pie:

Just not fond of the several hacks that are not going to take us to a flag.

Some of the kids look real promising though.

For the record:
My:

AAA List:

Bucks (will remain there till he calls it a day)
Clem (inspirational)
Wakes (evergreen, under-rated)

AA List:
Burns (showing signs of wear and tear)
Licca (needs fleet feet and skill around him)
Presti (when he's right he's brilliant)
Ant (hugely important when fit)
Taz (if he kicked straight he could be AAA)

A List:
Rhyce (and moving up)
Roids (under-rated, needs to be more consistant)
Dutchy (best is good enough, needs to keep developing)
Carra (slotted in nicely)
Dids (his best is great, needs to do more of the hard, little things)
Fraser (needs to keep developing, if only he could take a contested mark)

The Future (definite):
Maxwell
Rowe
Travis
Egan
Rusling
Booch (all look immensely promising and are a pleasure to whatch)

The Future (Probable):
Cam (needs to get his head down and do more of the smart, team things)
Davies
O'Brien
Fanning (all have shown a bit and have a big chance)

The Future (possible):
Heath
Brayden
Hall (all got talent, clock is ticking)

The Question Marks (Up and down):
Locks (good is good enough just soft at times and goes missing)
Swan (getting his chance now and mostly doing well)
Chad (two knees have reduced him to a plodder)
OBree (good aspects to his game, inconsistant, NATO)
Neon (needs to get fitter and command his place)
Cole (what has gone wrong buddy?)

The Big question Marks:
Tex (not developing)
Lonie (simply doesn't get ball, soft)
Woey (Looks well past his best)
Guy (got talent, never plays)
Davo (ditto)

The Damned:
Williams (soft, crumbles)
King (going nowhere)
Lokan (never gets ball, no lateral adeptness)
Billy (nowhere near it)

I was reasonably confident until I heard Johnno wasnt playing - will miss his pace. It seems we have backs to the wall stuff happening again - which is fine by me.

Worried about Josh - hope he gets right soon, but doubt we'll see much of his best this season.

Guy (got talent, never plays)

Leave him alone. If he didn't have injury he would be our number one ruckman

And if Davo never ggot injured he'd kick 100 a year and if Zane Leonard never got injured he'd be the next Buckley and if John Greening never got flatened he'd have won a brownlow and if...and if...and if.

Can't live on hope forever Jamie, at some point these 'Guy's' have to start earning their wages.

BOG for Williamstown last week. What more does the bloke have to do for you to understand or accept he has earnt a spot?
Hasn't shown much when he has played in the 1's, I think we would be better suited by playing Rusling, his speed could be very important putting defensive pressure on syd's running defenders.
Definately, im sure Rusling would do a superb job in the ruck

Josh is unfit and shit, Cam is a full forward not a ruckman, Fanning is in because he can ruck all day and that is his only position whilst Fraser is in some doubt and unfit even if he does play.
The ONLY reason that Fanning was selected has now become clear, it is not because he is our best ruck it is because Fraser didn't come up, there is no way he would get a run in our best side.

Eddiesmith, J Cloke definitely deserves a mention, probably needs to say

Question mark
Some confidence will do this kid wonders, lets get behind him as he has proven himself in years gone by and is black and white through and through
Buon Giorno
