If we can curb their runners we will be in with a show. We have to keep it a hard, nasty game and mardi gras floaters will hopefully collapse. If we get up it will not be easy. Josh has to step up to handle Goodes. He will be hard to stop if he goes forward. Pies by 10 points. skeleton keys crossed.

It will be a close game, as you'd expect between two sides who use the wings a lot. Suits us well, as we have the capacity to break away at any stage. Match Preview up soon.

Well I hope like all Pies supporters we win this match.

Heres my theory on finals. We will win the big one next year 2006. It was 32 years from the 1958 GF to the 1990 GF. Next year is half that amount 16 years since the 1990 GF so thats when we will win.
Travis will be a superstar and Bucks will finally wear his medallion.

My line up:

B: Swan (Davis) Presti (Hall) Clement (O'Loughlin)

HB: O'Keefe (Maxwell) Wakelin (Ball) Lockyer (Williams)

C: OB Licuria Johnson

HF: Bucks T Clo Didak

FF: Cara Taz Fraser

R: Fanning Burns Holland

Int: Davis Rowe Lonie Rusling

IN: Bucks, Davis, Fanning, Johnno
OUT: Shaw, Woey, C Cloke, Morrison

Lots of changes and Egan is very unlucky but think that we might need a spare midfielder on the bench such as Rowe/Morrison rather than another forward pocket.

Lonie gets a gig because they have lots of midsize running players that can hurt - wouldnt mind seeing him tag Kennelly at some stage up forward as he cuts us up everytime running out of defence.

Id bring Ruzza on when Fraser goes into the ruck and Fanning rests on the bench.

I say keep cam cloke in this week and start him at FF. Start josh fraser in the ruck. We lack a full forward to take the burden off tarrant, trav and rusling are running players as well. We need Cam to plant his fat ass in the goal square and demand the ball. WIth Tarrant and Cloke going for jogs, the forward 50 should be left open for cam and Tarrant will demand attention at chf. Then Josh can rotate with Cam from the goal square when each needs a break.

Cam is at collingwood to be a forward option in my opinion. He is slow, does not have a big jump and cannot time his leaps which suggests he is not a ruckman. But Sydney struggled to tame Lance Whitnall a few rounds ago and Cam is fitter than Whitnall you would hope. We need a permanent full forward who kicks goal. Give Cam a shot and put fraser in the ruck if he is fit. I agree Morrison is due for a game on the sidelines, but not this week, his big body is suited to a sydney style game. Woey wouldnt mind it as well as it is not fast. He is an ok clearence player woey.

Id say ins: Buckley, Johnson
outs: Shaw, Rowe. The only reason i say rowe is id prefer morrison and woey against sydney, im not sure if rowe can do the in and under work. Johnson will provide the run.

You know, I actually work with Jude's brother, and he tells me that the Swans players are not even allowed to tell family about how their injuries are going (unless of course it is something long-term). I'm not sure whether this is common practice at other clubs - but it makes sense to keep secrecy! My guess - he will play. *wink*

Dumb and Dumber.

Why would anyone keep Morrison in the side for his body and keep Woey in the same side.
One is slow and prone to turn it over but hard at the ball.
One is slow and prone to turn it over but soft as warm custard.
Pick the player.
Sydney generate their pace from the backline. Their midfield is only marginally quicker than ours,if at all.
The key could well be how our forwards play. If they are prepared to chase it will break Sydney's running game down.
Rusling has already demonstrated his ability to run down an opponent.
Tarrant does it but it gets down to his fitness on any given day.
Egan does it but we will have to wait for the side to see if he gets a run.
Didak does it but can give away a free with his desire to hurt his opponent.
Outs.
Woey. Too soft.
Cam. Too slow for the big ground.
Rhyce. Injured.
Ins.
You know who.
Fanning. A chance to play against a second string ruck for a change.
Egan. Showed in the last quarter against BH what he is capable of.

Cam would be a good forward option but I can see Sydney's backmen exploiting his lack of pace.
