Yep good selections Jackass - I like Rowe but his kicking has been off recently and might need a spell egan will compensate for the loss of his pace.

I think woey will be in.

Tarks will take williams early. Then woey will take him.

Woey is WAAAAAAAYYY to slow for Williams. Tarks isn't really all that quick, but he might do okay. If Johnson plays, Johnson should go with Williams IMO.

I agree woey is to slow for wililams, which is why someone else (maybe tarks) will have to take him early...

Woey (when playing with confidence) can tag really well, even those a lot faster than him. Once tarks (or whoever) does the glove job on williams for a quarter and bit, you then get woey onto him for the remainder. Williams slows up quite a bit these days...must be getting old.

I think they will want to get johnno on the ball.

Woey's confidence is shot, the best way to play him is to give him the Wililams job (late).

One player so oft forgotton is Jude Bolton. Should we tag him or go head-to-head? I'd go with the latter, and have Licuria attempt to break him open.

Hall,Goodes,O'Loughlin,Williams,Davis and all the forward line would have to be stopped for us to win,not just two fellows.
This will be a tough game to win,but with the wide open spaces of the stadium,and also thinking that it may even be a wet night is more of a favour for the PIES.
If the guys get a jump on the Swans from the opening bounce,then they should win,as the Swans usually crumble under pressure if they are behind at 1/2 time...they dont often win the 3rd quarter unless they are will infront.

I expect Presti or Wakes will start on Hall.Clement will get O'Loughlin.

Brodie Holland on Williams surely.Williams might be more interested in evening the score from last year rather than playing the ball.

I would love to see this happen but I know it won't. Chris Tarrant to start in the centre and to play on the ball.Sydney's and every other teams defence against Collingwood is to drop back in the hole in front of Tarrant to block the pass and force him to lead to the boundary.All of Sydney's preparation this week will be with Tarrant at full forward.Change the forward set up and you will take the initiative.Remember Fremantle at Subiaco last year, I think something similar has to happen.My forward set up would be T.Cloke CHF Ruling FF Fraser FP Buckley,Didak and one of Rowe/Egan/Davis whoever is selected.

I know we are all saying it is very even this year but if STK and Syd win this week it will make it extremely difficult for the likes of us ,Freo,Foots to make the 8.

I agree. Taz should be played up the field. MM agrees as well. But there were two problems which MM cited for not being able to play Taz there:

1. Taz has an injured leg, he wont be able to run for that long continuosly in the centre or on the ball.
2. Nobody to replace him at FF due to Rocca being injured.

Number 2 perhaps is nullified if you put C2 up there and Rusling and even Bucks...but number 1 is still a major issue. While Taz is injured he will continue to play in the forward 50.

ALso, Walker may be a smokey. He's had a good history of playing well agains the swans. ALthough his terrible form in Willy would suggest that not even MM's "horses for courses" policy would allow him a game.

Bucks will play a blinder as long as one of the biggest cheats in the AFL, Brett Jirk, does not spend the whole match holding onto his jumper and admiring what he does not have, muscle tone!

Watching him lead the team onto the ground will raise the hairs on my neck and will give the team a massive boost.

On that basis, Pies by 15 points!

My in's and outs;

If you want to be aggresive;
Out Shaw, Woewodin, Morrison, Lonie
In Buckley, Egan, Johnson, Davis

If you want to be conservative;
Out Shaw
In Buckley

but if Johnson is fit, he belongs in our 22, and Egan apperantly did a few things at Willi to demand a callup, so perhaps;

Egan in for Lonie, Buckley in for Woe, Johnson in for Shaw...

who knows?! it's one of the pleasures of this season that there is so much development going on at Pieland.

As for the game, I think it will depend entirely on wether MM and Bucks can fire the team after what must have been a very dissapointing loss the other day... there really are two Collingwoods, the one that went down to the Dockers, and the one that a few weeks later beet the Eagles, if the latter team show up, then I don't think Sydney stand a chance, but if the youngsters are tired and not up for it mentally, then look out...

Heres hoping that Buckley's hammie holds up, that there are no morre season ending injuries to any of our players, and that we can bounce back after the break and string a few more qualtiy wins together!

GO PIES!

injuries

There seems to be the old Balmey type of white lies with our injuries. Johno has a corky? Yeah right, isn't it some type of stress fractures? And Taz clearly seen limping with the flu on the Nine news 15 mins ago.
Magpies love pies(Lol)
