Excellent - Burns, Lockyer, Clement

Very good - Licuria, O'Bree

Average - Didak, Rowe, Woewodin, Holland, Presti

Below Average - Swan, Caracella, Maxwell, Tarrant, Wakelin, T.Cloke, C. Cloke, Lonie

Poor - Rusling, Morrison, Fraser
C'mon, how can you put Woey in the average category... I thought a few of your 'below average' players deserved to be ranked higher. Maxwell performed well & continues to impress. I also thought Lonie did well first week back.

I would only put 2 in the poor category...

Woey, Morrison.

Rusling still a kid didn't do much this week but not poor. Fraser is still recovering from injuring not 100% but still did more than Woey!!!

For me I would be making a few changes this week....

out Woey, Morrison, Rowe & Shaw
in Buckley, Johnson, Yakka, Lokan

Rowe needs a break in the VFL is looking tired but will be back. Shaw will be missed. Hopefully Bucks & Johnson are ready. Yakka deserves another go while Lokan continues to play well for Willy....

Tark's played a very good game for the CFC. Did the job required of him on Davey.
Lonie has to be dropped to Williamstown again. Cam and Woey had shockers too. Woey started the game brilliantly in the first quarter and then nothing.

If job required of him on Davey did, then I will be surprised.

What did Lonie do wrong?? He was played in the backline contained his man reasonably well, scored a goal.... What more can the guy do??? He contributed more than Morrison did who I feel has a similar role....

Well IMHO, Woey did both good and poor work in the game, and when added together came out at average - everyone looks at the last quarter and blames Woewodin for a 50 point beating - I can't cop it!! Maybe he was simply knackered by that stage, and Cameron Bruce who had done nothing the whole game had fresher legs?? Nooo, it must be because Woey is sh*t!! Can't play!! Whatever!!

Fraser - WTF did he do??? One mark in defence I can remember - zip else! Oh hang on - an insipid effort at a marking contest against Bizzell!! If he ain't fit then he don't play!!!!
Rusling wasn't given much chance, Morrison played crap!

But if you only had two in the poor category, and we got beat like we did - heaven help us!!!!

OK, I will conceed that Fraser did nothing & deserves to be in the poor category. I guess I was under the belief that he wasn't 100% fit & shouldn't be too harsh on him. But if he was selected in the 22 then he should be treated the same & deserves to be poor....

As for Woey, too many times has has under performed. He was great for us last year, but hasn't done a thing this year. Sad to see it happen to him, but I honestly think he is part of the pies problem of going short & wide instead of long & direct.

I don't blame Woey for losing the game, it was more than one player & he was playing on one of the best in the legue.

Whatever happens you must agree that Woey is at a crossroads in his career, he either has to step up or him will struggle to get a spot next year....

Josh Fraser looked really out of it. There was one stage he just stood there and watched someone take a mark, he was not putting in enuff effort

could be caused by the depth flattening effect of high magnification lens like footy TV - makes players look a *lot* closer together depth-wise, than they really are. Something to always be aware of when watching footy on TV.

Just a few musings on what I noticed yesterday:

Woey & T/O: Started the day on fire. Kicking to targets, one grab marks, all the stuff required of an AFL senior player. Problem was that this was during the warm-ups. Shame they couldn't have been a late withdrawal.

I get the impression that Woey would rather get a hard on than a hard ball, and FFS, you can always re-do your hair.

T/O, Collingwood players wear black and white vertical striped jumpers. You know, the ones that go up and down.

C2: When things start to go against him, what a major liability he is. As soon as he spits the dummy, MM should drag him and tell him to pull his head in.

Taz: Mate, start sounding out clubs who have players that can at least kick the ball close to where you lead to. You do all the hard work to shake your opponent, bust your gut to get clear, only to have the ball kicked to a contest.

Swanny: No need to accept the blame for the lost. Even though you were Robbo's b.itch on the day, you were not the reason for the loss. Refer Woey & T/O.

Tarks: The best man for the Davey job, and in the one-on-one stats, you won the day. Don't know of anyone else who can beat Davey when he gets that 2-3 step break.

C3: A valuable lesson in what is still a steep learning curve. You learn more from bad days then you do from good days.

Josh: If you are not 100% fit, please, if only for your own sake, tell MM. Tell him, for the sake of the club, that you don't feel as though you can play at your full potential, which will only be detrimental to the other 21 players on the day.

Rus: If your effort in the second quarter is anything to go by, then you will lead by example. You were outnumbered, but kept at it, pressuring until you forced the ball over the boundary line. A small victory, and a shame it didn't carry over to the rest of the team. G&D at it's utmost.

Everyone was serviceable, especially before half time. Seems like we once again reverted to the 'caffeine tabs before lunch' syndrome. Why the players can't be given their tabs when they run out to warm-up is beyond. It obviously worked against WC, Hawthorn and Geelong.

K-Man - you are kidding Cole in? What TF has he done!

And Cam - we soon forget how young he is and how good he was v Cats. You blokes judge him like he is 25! Notwithstanding, he wasn't that bad at all (at least from what was on TV). He took contested marks which I cannot remember many other blokes doing (eg Tarrant, Fraser, Wakelin etc).

Lets not lose site of the fact we played the best team on the weekend and stayed with them for 3 qtrs. Our lack of young legs cost us as well as our senior blokes inability to hit targets. Not Cam Cloke!

And if the umpiring wasnt so shit he would have gotten a goal or 2.

I think most people just like bagging Cam and have been sitting back waiting for a game to let rip on him.

So what if he got frustrated and abused the umpires? Most of our players are to soft and damn weak to complain, the umpires deserve everything they get and more the way they screw us each week
