I can't believe the crap I'm reading about Cameron Cloke.

His only contribution to the game was to have a free-kick reversed by getting sucked into a fight.

Hope he gets 4 matches.

Good on ya doc ... get stuck into him.
Did you notice the absolute coincidence last night that every time C2 went off for a rest, Geelong started to kick some goals and come back. Total coincidence though, hey doc.

About Ruslings knee they said after the game that he just recieved a knock to his kneecap and it will just come up bruised but he should be fine for the Melbourne game...anyway he has plenty of time to recover with a 10 day break.

Johnson in, Rowe out may be the only change i reckon. I think Woey did ok, was useful enough.
Good call on Rowe - don't misunderstand, he will be a valuable player in the best 22 for us for years to come, but at present disposal is off kilter. He did some very good things as usual but is perhaps starting to look just a little shellshocked out there and a couple of williweeks could do him good. Morro wasn't too bad but someone has to go for Johnno and Leon and he and Woey may be top of the list in a tough decision. Morro kicking was also a bit off, Woey has the advantage there obviously but field play this year has been not much more than serviceable. I'd rate him as a good but very expensive depth utility, won't be needed in the team by year's end unless he improves a lot and would be decent trade bait - moght be very valuable for another team that needs that tyupe of player. (As for Morro's longterm future no comment since I haven't seen enough of him - at worst would be a handy depth defender you'd think and has played some very good games).
I'd be sorry to see Egan dropped as he could be important vs Dumb-ones despite his quiet cat game.

It seems Alf has an acute sense of the ridiculous.
Well that's not surprising since he has been listening to himself all his life... you might be able to make some money out of this... just pulling your leg Alf.
Good to see C2's marking improving, is he tall enough to be a permanent ruck? could be good. I don't see room for C2 and 3 in our current forward line. He should improve a lot in the next couple of years, unfortunate to be compared with his brother who is basically a freak player.
Woods may even be the best side at present, and there's a lot of improvement possible in the next few weeks, and of course an all-time champion to come back into the midfield soon. WE can only afford to lose 3 (or maybe 4) for the rest of the season so it is tight, every loss would be a major blow. Disposal by foot still a bit off but the teamwork, handball, pressure, evasive skills, forward options etc etc are superb - oh yeah and MM in career-best coaching form, attacking at last - can't believe my luck :shock:

Magnificent win. Great first half, and then withstood the fightback. Cant ask for more than that. I think I permanently damaged my vocal cords abusing Scarlett when Burns got him for holding the ball in the last quarter. His old man was a dud, and he's a dud.

Clement, Holland, Swan, C3 were all sensational. I thought O'bree was pretty good too.

How good is Rusling going to be. What a forward line we've got to look forward to now.

Slow-woden was terrible. He's still playing the style of football we were playing earlier in the season.

C2 was great in the Ruck. His best game for us by a mile. Dr Alf is either a Carlton supporter or is the biggest shite stirrer of all time. Or maybe it has something to do with his initials.

I dunno what is his full name? maybe Alfred Robert Simon Edwards, for example?

The wheres your Didak song was started by the boys in M10 - have been doing it for a few years now and it is brilliant I think they are the lads from LSD - also do the we wish you a Chrissy Tarrant in you football team song - one of the things I miss most having moved to the Ponsford this year (and a bloody screen for replays of course!!)

What a game, shocking skills, shocking umpiring, but what attack on the man and the ball!

First our forward line:
Didak is a champion! anyone who still thinks we should have traded him for Stevens is a fool! Rusling is a champion of the future, mark my words, he has the build, the hands and the leap to be a star leading full forward. He scored two of his own and was involved in at least two more. Travis Cloke! what more can I say? He is a match turning CHF already! Goals, assists (how good was that tap to Morrison that resulted in a point?). With the proven class of Carracella and the exitement of Tarrant plus the dependable utility of Burns, our front six looks one of the best in the comp, good for contested marks, good for roving the packs, good for puting on the pressure, who would of thought that we could loose Anthony Rocca and a few weeks later be feeling this good about our forwardline?!

Second, our BACKLINE!
We all know that Clement is the greatest, most versatile defender in the league, we all know that Presti will hold his man and that Waklin will take marks and win possesion, but how abaout the emergance of Lockyer, Swan and Maxwell!? Lockyer was playing on one of the toughest and best small forwards/midfielders in the game in Ablett and he dusted the floor with him, Swan in the first half was unstoppable, and in the second half was there at the crunch, and Maxwell was terrific! How good was it to see him get on the end of that Waklin-Clement-Presti sequence to kick a goal, talk about a backline that can punish you! They dont even need the middies or the forwards! They can kick thier goals themselves!

Finally, our MIDFIELD;
O'bree, Holland and Licuria are three of the most underated midfielders in the comp. And the people who underrate them the most IMHO are the Collingwood supporters themselves, they where allowed to go toe to toe with what many call one of the top four midfields in the comp and they won outright for a half, held their own in the third, and stood up to be counted, when it counted, in the fourth when the cats where charging back.
The ruck was handled admirably by the hotheaded youngster Cam Cloke, and abley assisted by Fraser, still regaining match-fitness on return from injury, Shaw on the wing was excellent, (cant wait to get Bucks back to play on the other one!) while Morrison, Woewodin, Rowe and Egan all had games they would hope to improve on in coming weeks...

I guess that about sums up my feelings on the game at the mo', may post more later!

Go Pies!

As for next week...

ell I guess its a question of weather you tinker with a winning formula. Johnson would be the only automatic inclusion and he would have to come in at the expense of one of Woe, Morrison, Rowe or Egan you would think... however, there would be an argument for rotating a few of the youngsters, and in my opinion Morrison is not at his best at the moment, with some poor desision making under pressure and also he looks a little ginger and proppy and also a little out of condition... perhaps if he could play down at Willi for a while, he could throw his body around a bit more and also be one of the frontline middies and play himself into a bit of form, rather than just holding down a job in the seniors, even if he is doing that job OK at the moment...

So, if I was being adventurous, I would have;
IN
Johnson
Iaccabucci
Davies
Shaw

OUT
Woewodin
Morrison
Egan
Rowe

If I was being conservative it would be;
IN
Johnson

OUT
Morrison, not because he was worse than the rest, but because I think he could get the most out of a stint at Willi.

Go Pies!
go pies!

The vast majority of which went straight to the opposition.
