Agree morrison was pretty poor, doubt egan will be dropped. I think Julian Rowe will actually, 2 big turnovers which led to goal opportunities. He needs a rest and some time to settle. Has all the skills, just doesnt have the experience to use them yet.
Johnson in, Rowe out may be the only change i reckon. I think Woey did ok, was useful enough.

I also have to say this about Rusling because i have never been so exited about a player as i am about him.
Harley was starting 5 metres ahead of Rusling, obviously to make up for the fact that Rusling in lightning quick. Rusling started his leads, however Harley was able to see them coming from 5 metres away, which gave him a 5 metre headstart to get to the ball before rusling.
Did this matter? No! Rusling ended up about 5 metres ahead of Harley on about 3 occasions starting 5 meteres behind. I was in awe. He is the fastest guy i have seen in a while, and he is a great mark. I havent seen him in a contested pack much, but who cares, with that pace he'll be very rarely in a contested situation. Unbelievable. Kicked 2 nice goals from set shots which was pleasing.
Only criticism would be he has an awkward looking set shot but its effective.

Just got back from Melb having watched the game. Firstly what a win! That was their best win for the last 2 years.
Some observations;
Holland's best game since he kicked 8 a few years ago. Played v well starting on Barterl. PS Always amazes me the papers get the matchups wrong.
Didak and Clement - brilliant.
Maxwell and Swan - very good. More importantly, they are composed and make good decisions.
Trav Cloke - his best game. Cannot measure it in kicks and handpasses.
Cam Cloke - fantastic game. Pretty much held the ruck together with Fraser being pretty quiet. Most like his old man. Starting to figure out how to use his body and where to run.
Lica - good to see him back.
Rowe and Morrison - kick and decision making poor. They both need to be dropped along with
WOEWODIN - he was terrible. I rarely bag blokes at a game but last night I did. I watched him all night. He runs to spots to get easy kicks - never puts himself in the line of contact, cannot compete overhead, is easily outrun, makes porr decisions under pressure and cannot kick over 45 metres. Everytime he got the footy last night he held it up. but....
Rhyce - very good. Particularly first half. He runs a long way to create space, options etc. Kicking good be better.
OBree - was pretty good. Granted he made his usual half doz clangers and gave away 3 frees but his disposal was at least good and his choice of options clever. Best game of the year. Still not sure he is in the best 20 or 30 mids in the country but holding his own.
Egan - needs to learn to do some hard stuff. Leave him though as Hawks and WCE games were good.
Rusling - magnificent - speed and vert leap tremendous.
Lockyer - best game of the year and playing where he should be. In the back half setting up play.
Tarrant - not sure. Does some nice things but a bloke on the money he is has to dominate a game and finish. Get the sense he is getting better.
Lonie and Cole - getting harder for them.
Out - Woewodin, Rowe (possibly Morrison)
In - Johnson, either H. Shaw, Yakka, Davies

Chris71, apart from been terribly beaten in the air, i thought woey was ok. Won a few touches. Even if they were easy, he was a link up player and his field kicking was generally ok, he hit targets. Did ok i thought, nothing to cement a place, but enough to get another run. Agree Rowe should get a week off

id give him one more shot to prove himself, rowe although im a huge rap for the kid played a lot worst, as did morrison. Id let him play against his old club. He has all the motivation now woewoedin. He is fighting to keep his spot, playing against his old club, fighting against the critics. If he cant perform against melbourne, back to willy for good and ill stop defending him.

I dont agree that Cam Cloke should be dropped.He has played well .
I recon that Dr.Alf is watching the wrong games.
I picked the PIES to win by 20 points last nigh...it was a great game and all I will say is watch out 'D' and the rest of them as the PIES ARE ON THEIR WAY BACK

Couple of points;
If you didn't think C2 played a good game last night then I suspect you know little about footy and probably stopped playing somewhere around 'under 7's'. He was tremendous.
Dave 86 - I would give you that Woey started ok - i think he set up Ruslings first and he did some ok things in the first. But he just gets cheap kicks around the boundary. I bet if you watched that game again and compared him to Holland or even Obree you would find very few possies were in the corridor for him, whereas the other two were there all night. And that;s the issue with this bloke. He knows his pace is suspect so the way to rack up touches is get them wide. That way he will not look exposed. To me he just has to go. I was amazed MM left him on so long. He played on the wing in front of us and we just could not get it.
Cam - sat on top of Pies interchange - Fraser definately unfit but giving his best.

Fantastic committed effort by all the boys a real stirring win and what a joy to see Didak back on the goals 5 beautiful goals how sweet and Tarrants mark. Let Davis run into some form at Willi and earn his spot rather than putting back in just in case he does something. we have done that before and come off badly because of it. We will need another committed effort to beat Melbourne and our tackling will need to be just as good as last nights effort to beat them. Oh well what a great turnaround and congratulations to everyone on putting there heart and soul into it.

I really enjoyed seeing the brilliant coaching of MM in relation to the way to shut Scarlet out of the game, Tarrant ran him ragged and when MM switched Rusling onto him, i guess he may of thought he was in for a bit or a break but Rusling ran him even harder into the ground. If any of you think MM is out of ideas...well you are wrong!
