Wouldn't surprise me if either or both of Cameron Cloke and Egan get a week or 2 off, although I think neither deserve it. I put 3 bets on the TAB 10 on Collingwood (yay i won that, $34 for that), 5 on Travis Cloke for first goal (had a shot but kicked the worst kick I have ever seen Travis now owes me $80.) and Dane Swan for most possessions (he got close and played an awesome game) he probably needed a move in the 3rd or 4th quater to win that. But i'll give up all that money just to see the mighty magpies win. (although i'd rather em win and me win money)

Ok any finals talk is a little early for me. If we are still on a roll by the "Family Round" - rd 14 then i'll join in. Thats 3 more wins against Melbourne, Sydney (in Sydney) and Port (at the dome) thats tough work - well Melbourne will be ayway the others we can account for .
Oh, and Eddie on the TV last night almost killed a fantastic last quarter - when will he work it out that a Pies supporter can simply not be one eyed and stop commentating their matches..

What a F$%^&in dickhead
Agree with both of you. Dids is a B grader at the moment, stepping up to become an A Grader. Swan is far from a journeyman, while Tarks and O'Bree (believe it or not!) are becomming vital players in the Malthouse plan. I like it.Time for Shite Mike to reassess his A B C & D Graders!
I'd still leave Fraser down there. Richards then goes itno the ruck. What an awesome team...hard to choose as well:Cam wrote:You won't need Fraser down there (after Rocca returns, fine until then I suppose) with Tarrant, Cloke, Rocca, Didak & Caracella. Rusling will be a better bet. All of a sudden we have a solid defence and a forward line that oozes class, power and goal sense.
B: Clement, Prestigiacomo, Wakelin.
HB: Johnson, J.Cloke, Swan.
C: R.Shaw, Buckley, Didak.
HF: Caracella, Rocca, Rusling.
F: T.Cloke, Tarrant, Fraser.
R: Richards, Licuria, Burns.
INTER: Maxwell, Lockyer, O'Bree, Holland.
EMERG: Morrison(!), Rowe(!), Woewodin(!).
What a team! Esepcially when you have the likes of Lonie, Davis, Cole, Egan, Walker, C.Cloke, Iacobucci, Davies and Fanning at Williamstown! What a gun side! BTW - Before I cop it Jason Cloke is picked on talent, not form. I still like him in my side.

When talking about Rowe Egan etc and mistakes, just remember how inexperiecned they are. Don't forget Morrison turned the ball over badly and Lica, god bless him gives away sooo many free kicks.
I want to especially congratulate C2, he was asked and has stood up, as a 20 year old with 7 games before the start of this year, recovering from a shoulder injury to carry the ruck. Lasr night I thought he played his best game for Collingwood and for the first time this year it looks like his shoulder is now ok. He took some solid contested marks and the hit out for Tarrant to score a goal was fantastic

Has there been a bigger comeback than Rhyce Shaw? He is doing things he never really did before, taking contested grabs, rarely missing a target, playing accountable football. In 2003 it was his running that we benefited from. He is a much more rounded player now despite virtually the whole football community writing him off and I think Mick can take the credit for that. He has been our best this year IMO.
I think a lot of our improvement has come from Rhyce and Dane Swan, another player many wanted axed for a non-football indiscretion. He is so exciting to watch, uses the ball well, is tough, could be a real find for us now.
These 2 have impressed me more than any over the past month. And C2, please lets see some consistency, keep playing like that and eddiesmith will never stop smiling.

Morrison was poor last night, may be injured, either way, drop him. Davies played well last week and is exciting.
Woewodin hangs onto the ball too long. Drop him until he figures out that the new Collingwood team moves the ball quickly. He often kills our momentum. Johnno is a definite return.
Egan... has talent perhaps, last night he cheap shotted and should get a week, this on a night he didn't get the ball. He needs to learn from Burnsy & Licca - you get yourself into the game by working your arse off, running hard to position, tackling... not some lame-arsed attempt at 'toughness'. I'm not in the Dr Alf extreme position, but methinks the boy has been reading the paper a little too much lately, and needs to contemplate his navel with Cole for a week or two. Leon was sparkling until he got benched for some reason (obviously hasn't wasn't following instructions of some description, which is probable knowing Leon's penchant for the big fly instead of the front and square). Then he broke his arm.
They are my in and outs. Knowing Malthouse's track record this year, it will probably be OUT: Egan, Rowe IN: Johnson, Lokan

Last night was sensational, except for the Geelong fan behind me who continually abused our players, for example " Rusling you are f-ing ****, you are the worst player to play AFL ", " Shaw you are f-ing soft ", "Licuria how you made it to the AFL is beyond me"
Then saw my jumper and bagged the hell out of Tarkyn just to annoy me.
Grrrrrrr... sorry I just had to let off some steam because personally bagging our players to the extent he did was a disgrace.
Congratulations to the boys on another fantastic win.
Best Players:
Brodie, Clement, Swan, Didak and Tarkyn
Rusling's pace was awesome and his ability to mark the football. He just puts his arms up so quick that it is hard for a defender to punch the ball. Hope he pulls up ok though.
Rhyce ran hard all day and was nearly always free
Burns did some good running in the final quarter and his 2 goals were pivotal.
The backline continues to be solid, Maxwell put in a good effort and his first goal for the Pies.
Brodie stepped up, his disposal was good and his vision awesome.
Didak just lifts the team and his finishing is the best in the AFL at the moment I reckon.
This has made my weekend !!
luv jess
