Watched the game again yesterday.

I was really impressed with Didak. Apart from his 4 goals and excellent defensive pressure (3 effective tackles), his game between the flanks looked promising again.

Every single disposal was effective (except when tackled and spilled the ball).
Kicks to leads with the ball lace out in front of the body. Set up Fraser and Tarrant for shots on goal (the Tarrant one on his wrong foot).

Appeared to be in the right spot more often. Having the experience of Caracella around the club is a real bonus for young guys like Didak, Egan and Travis Cloke.

Skills sublime - in the final quarter, he gathered the ball at the half back flank, under pressure from a tackler kicked across his body, with his wrong foot (right) 40m lace out to Travis Cloke...a small thing, but this is the kind of the top drawer stuff Didak offers.

MM was impressed and Dids appears to be closer to longer stints in the midfield...

Can't wait to see Dids in the middle more often KYPREO - Imagine him bursting out of the centre to square up Tarrant on a lead!
If Davis can work his way in there as well they will make a very interesting double or even rotation through the midfield - Just the spark we need to add to the hardness of Lica, Burns & Holland!

Good game Didak,.. Keep it up!! Didn't realise he ended up with 4 majors!!!

maybe we should debut a player next week and change their number to 100! or if it has to be 2 digits, 99.

Another interesting stat...

It was the first time in Collingwood's HISTORY that we WON a round 10 match at the MCG...

Obviously, we never used to play there all that often, but still.....

Impressive win I thought and the team looked well drilled and attacking, although largely won by the player that came off the bench in the last, by the name of Nullabor Plain.

My sentiments exactly. Our main deficiency seemed to be midfield speed and class, Neon wil be a huge boost and maybe give DAvies another go since from all reports he starred in the Willys and may have gone up a notch due to his AFL game.
Good to see Clement being run through the midfield a bit too, I've been really impressed with MM's coaching the last 2 weeks (not sure about Presti on Williams but). Also Fraser looking the goods is great to see, and this year's recruits, what a bonanza! Rusling looks an exciting prospect.

Overall things suddenly looking very rosy and the 8 a very good bet.
Dr Alf reckons Egan will be delisted, what a joke, as far as I know he did his thesis on footy! shows you a uni education doesn't necessarily mean too much!! since he obvioulsy doesn't have much idea about the game. Not far off earning an arseclown of the week I'd say.

Weird to see 28 without BK! BTW - Ruzza's pace was terrific. Very exciting stuff.

Maybe throw Egan in there too.. only question is will they touch it since there are no real ball winners in that group?

Yeah why not try rotating Egan through the center square a bit, see how he goes - already appears on the wings quite a bit. Leon is a pretty good forward, but a natural in the center.

Absolutely LOVIN watching DIds back and firing....this is the reason why I was opposed to swapping him for Nick Stevens - great to see him back!!!

I think Carra has been a good pick up. He is providing leadership in the forward half. We all know that tarrant doesn't present that leader type qualities but I think carra has helped freed him up. Another point to note is Didak. He has realy stepped up...it all comes witha bit of confidence and as he gradually grows in fitness he will be a tough opponent to match up on. It is handy to have carra and dids in the forward line...because with rocca out ( a vice captain) it is good to note that carra has stepped up to help lead out the forward line....especially for the young blokes who can only learn from his wisdom.
