And now Alf, the reasons why I said what I did.......your comments from this past week alone.Dr Alf Andrews wrote:Which of my statements would you care to dispute?Proud Pies wrote:Alf, i personally don't care what you think (just like the sticker). You've jumped off the bandwagon so long ago it doesn't matter and basically all you've become on this board is a troll.Dr Alf Andrews wrote:Played like crap.
Got the points.
Can't grizzle.
... oh, and by the way ... Egan still can't kick.
go back to barracking for your Real Team.
You SURELY don't really think Collingwood played well today, do you?
We were playing an absolute dud team with a Subiaco hangover and they outplayed us for most of the game. We had a very good first quarter. A disastrous 2nd quarter. A mediocre 3rd quarter ... and when the job was there to be done in the last quarter we did enough to get the points.
I said "can't grizzle".
Do you know what that means?
It means I'm satisfied ... OK.
And I only mentioned the fact that Egan can't kick because it's true. He couldn't kick if his life depended on it and that just becomes more and more obvious every week.
I "personally don't care what you think" either ... but if you want post your crap, go ahead.
If you reckon anyone who disagrees with you is a "troll" it's amazing you've lasted this long on any Bulletin Board ... let alone this one.

In fact, I left so early I didn't even turn up.
Nah, they've lost me, this mob. They're crap.
And don't worry ... I won't be jumping back on now that they've won a game.
Too fkn little, too fkn late.

That's gotta be the shortest retirement in history, by the way How long was it? Two weeks?
Yeah ... I'll be back ...
... when every player who played in the 2003 Grand Final has either been traded, delisted, retrenched, retired or shot ...
... and when there are no Clokes, Shaws or Roccas on the list ...
I'll be back.
I promise.

Hey. You're not that Greek lunatic I was sitting next to, are you? We were complaining about Egan all day. Was that you?GreekLunatic wrote:well done to the pies a good effort also it was fun being in the southern stand level 4 and seeing the hawk supporters leave around the 20 minute mark
Around Bay 14?
It was hilarious when all the Hawk fans pissed off ... One minute we were outnumbered 10 to 1 ... next minute it was just a handful of Collingwood fans and lots of empty seats. I've never seen a crowd evacuate so fast

i may not agree with everything u say Dr. Alf but i just love the word crap. it has so much more resonance than shit in my book.
I was very proud of Taz today, two goals from around fifty metres... haven't seen him kick one of those for a long time. And that third goal, where the hell did he pull that from? Brilliant stuff.
I am so, so glad we got Cara.

Come on Alf - be positive.
Caracella was terrific - he has now kicked 5 goals in a game on 3 occasions - and twice in the past two weeks. Gotta be happy with that selection. I thought Lockyer was very good in the second half, and in particular the final term. He ran hard to position and played the role of the link man very well. Why praise him for doing something like that? I hear you ask. He will never be an in-and-under footballer, so he did his job. Have to be happy with that. Swan was magnificent. One of the best on the ground. 23 disposals from halfback was a great performance. His footskills are fine, as well. Player of the week for me. He showed some purprising pace as well. O'Bree. A hardnut to crack isn't he? He won plenty of the ball, granted, but - his footskills were a little sloppy at times. It shows only two clangers on the stats sheet - but there were a few dicey kicks in the first half which really had the potential to hurt us. Sadly, he has this ability to chip the ball up thirty meters high by 25 meters long which isn't always what we want. But he was good, one of his best games for a while. If he can hit his straps it will carry us a fair way. Another point of interest - Burns and to a lesser extent Licuria. MM - why did you leave them on the pine for so long? Burns had on 53 minutes of 121 on the field, while Licca had only 77. Yes, Licca is feeling under the weather at the moment, but if he is fit to play, use him. What are we saving them for? Fraser was brilliant in the ruck. Won his share of the hitouts, and used them to advantage - he was also great around the ground. Morrison was very average. Didak was terrific. Won 14 touches and added all the gloss. He will be a star onballer.

Great win by the Pies -as you only have to beat your opposition on the day.
The best part about the win was that not all the big guns for the team were firing so the rest of the boys picke dup the slack - and won - going away at the end.
Dids get better every week and in the last quarter - when it was needed - he was getting back to the HB flank to give the boys an option.
C3 is going to be the main reason why we can keep the $1m and let the Lionesses keep J.Brown - he is a real match winner. C3 has far more attributes than JB in speed and is far better at the ground ball.
Taz gets mugged every week and no frees - so he has to play around it like all the previous champs have had to - liek Ablett, Quinlan etc.,
Fanning may still get the gig next week as King is not quik around the ground and he can learn the accountability side to the play on him.
I think C2 will get back in next week.
Rusling looks great his extra efforts, running down players and the handball off the deck to Egan was outstanding. Having Taz and Rusling on HF flanks would be outstaning with C3 on the wing - wow.

Good win. Great first and last quarters, but in between was rubbish.
Cara was very good, and made the most of pretty much every opportunity - although he missed a sitter, but that's okay consdering he kicked 5.
Taz was quiet, although he was mauled as per usual, and still doesn't receive frees - umps have it in for him - and he still managed to kick 3, which was a good return.
C3 was sensational in the first quarter, showed how good he can be. I love his pace, and bit long left foot kick.
The mids were all pretty quiet. Re: O'Bree, I didn't think he was naything flash. Although his ability to read the ball in the last was good. I think he probably play one above average quarter, while the rest were arouind average.
The backline continues to stand up under pressure. Clement was a champ in the last quarter, when he completely shut Williams out of the game. Presti was good for most of the game, but Willams was too quick, and when he got his chances, he made the most of them.
Didak was good, and hopefully there is more of that to come. Interestingly (IMO) Didak has made a habit of playing big games against the Hawks. He has kicked 4 or 5 a few times against them. He didn't stuff around with it too much, he just did what need to be done.
Re: the middle half of the game. I thought our pressure just dropped off, and we let them run loose. Mitchell tore us apart, and if he will win a Brownlow one day if he continues to do that. He is sensational. We also reverted back to playing a chipping game. I sersiously thought we were gone once that started happening.
Happy that we won, but I will be alot more happy when I see us play four full quarters - hopefully that happens against Geelong this week.

sq3 - You are right re Tazza and free kicks. he was mauled on countless occasions by Hay and Croad all afternoon, yet recieved only two free kicks! It was unbelieveable, hard to watch. The poor bugger is a BALL PLAYER! Pay him the respect he deserves, umpires!
BTW - How awesome was that goal of the year contender!? I swear the Great Southern Stand was starting to shake!
And Joel, as for Mitchell, he was awesome. He killed us all day long, and he was all over the ground in the third term. He and Everitt are a deadly duo.
