Alf, i personally don't care what you think (just like the sticker). You've jumped off the bandwagon so long ago it doesn't matter and basically all you've become on this board is a troll.Dr Alf Andrews wrote:Played like crap.
Got the points.
Can't grizzle.
... oh, and by the way ... Egan still can't kick.
go back to barracking for your Real Team.

FRASER grew in confidence as Spider tired. The situation provided a great opportunity for him to regain some self-belief. In the last quarter he made sure that he capitalised on a spent opponent and ran him everywhere.
Josh rarely moves that well even at the best of times.
I hope it is the start of Rogans rise.
For the O'BREE baggers out there. Forget complaining because he will not be traded/dropped. When this guy is in form he has significant impact on how we play, whether it looks ugly or not.
Cara back where he should be playing. If things come together next year Rocca is going to provide Cara with plenty of Carrots.
Wakelin has not received a mention. He was very good.
I felt the third quarter was very important. We were outplayed heavily and soaked up a lot of damage. This is typical of how we played in 2002. Grind teams into the ground and then run all over them.

Which of my statements would you care to dispute?Proud Pies wrote:Alf, i personally don't care what you think (just like the sticker). You've jumped off the bandwagon so long ago it doesn't matter and basically all you've become on this board is a troll.Dr Alf Andrews wrote:Played like crap.

You SURELY don't really think Collingwood played well today, do you?
We were playing an absolute dud team with a Subiaco hangover and they outplayed us for most of the game. We had a very good first quarter. A disastrous 2nd quarter. A mediocre 3rd quarter ... and when the job was there to be done in the last quarter we did enough to get the points.
I said "can't grizzle".
Do you know what that means?
It means I'm satisfied ... OK.
And I only mentioned the fact that Egan can't kick because it's true. He couldn't kick if his life depended on it and that just becomes more and more obvious every week.
I "personally don't care what you think" either ... but if you want post your crap, go ahead.
If you reckon anyone who disagrees with you is a "troll" it's amazing you've lasted this long on any Bulletin Board ... let alone this one.

The good doctor is definately a pround and passionite supporter of the Pies.I have seen him whipping supporters into a chanting freenzy on many occassions. And who could forget his desparing thumping of the fence at the 2002 grand final when aker kicked that goal.I also saw him that same nite at Victoria Park a shattered man.At least I think it was Alf I was becaming very tired and emotional by that time of the day!!!!

post match
For someone who's been so critical of O'Bree, that's the best game I've seen him play. If only he played like that every week.
The upside is we got smashed in the middle by Everitt, Mitchell and Crawford and had several players who struggled, yet still managed to win.
Geelong will be stung by their loss at home today, so I wouldn't be expecting big things next week.

The first quarter and a half was very promising and the pressure was exceptional, but what I was most impressed with was the fact that we had 7 goals in a row kicked against us (not that part!) to blow the lead and go a few down, yet we were able to turn that around (which in todays game isn't easy against the flow), steady and then put the foot down again and run away in the last!! It is a young and inexperienced team and it would have been easy for the guys to drop their heads but they stood tall and the players who I thought were pivotal in the last quarter and a half were Didak, Swan, Caracella and Clement, while O'Bree was consistent throughout. Swanny's clearances in the last from the centre were a real eye-opener for me. He may not be the most polished player, but he is very hard at it, his hands are very clean and is a great tackler - most impressed.
Excellent.........
