I''d say Leon will stay at Willi next week as we have Cara, Dids and Egan playing the same sort of role. At least we now have lots of options down there as the injuries start to stabilise. Hopefully we can get Richards back soon and rotate Josh down there too. Rusling looked good but Mick said three of his leads got ignored by our players cos they don't yet know where he runs to. Give him time. I would like to see Woey come back in as Geelong are hard, tough and more experienced. Don't know who will be dropped. Mick won't want to change too much as a reward for the young guys.

lol i heard that and though sam was been a bit of an idiot there. Mitchell had 18 clearences, and clearences are very important. Thats doubel the amount of touches licuria had. Hodge kicked a goal and took some good marks, maybe agree on crawford, he wasnt effective.

I thought there worst was probably taylor who just isnt good enough to give Spider a rest, osborne for the free kicks and 50's (was it him actually) and Dixon just needed to provide another target. Our backs were too good for him.

How much do you think Cara is enjoying his forward line leadership role?

oh cmon nutmeg, you are obviously blind if you didnt think he was good today. I bag obree as much as anyone but today with 27 touches he was the only midfielder that stood up. Didnt even mess up too much.

When mitchell was getting his 18 clearences, we were in all sorts of trouble. Obree in the last quarter begun to read the tap from everitt and became our only player with the ability to win the clearences around the stoppages. Was a great cheesy game today and has earnt his spot over others in willy. Id say lockyer would be the one to go after after he has played only 1 good game last year, but that was last week so we can give him a break as well.

You have to love MM's thinking with Cara: Here's a talented intelligent player who has been pushed about on the trade market - let's welcome him into the Magpie fold, give him a leadership role, respect his abilities and make him feel like he finally belongs somewhere.

A bit 'touchy-feely' I know, but that's definitely one of MM's strengths.

Great game and I pretty much picked the margin this week which is always nice.

O'Bree is getting back to playing decent footy, should he have been played for the first 8 rounds of the season playing like crap - no way but you couldnt drop him at the moment.

Holland was super again and I cant understand why so many of our own supporters dont rate him whereas I would have him out in front as a clear Copeland Medal leader right now.

Clement was our best today, Cara good again and I still think Swan has loads of talent which he is starting to show us.

T Cloke is going to be awesome... I feel like hitting the copy and paste on that comment because he seems to show us alot each and every week.

If you didn't go to the game Rusling was pivital in the forward line more than people know. He was put at full forward on a bigger opponent and that freed up taz and everyone else up the half forward and it was dangerous for the Hawthorn backmen. There were lots of times when Rusling got free but as MM said they just need to know how he plays... he did some nice 2nd and 3rd efforts which were promising...even though he didn't get much possessions today it would be stiff for him to be dropped. I can say everytime he touched the ball it resulted in a goal.
Keep him in for another week and give him some game time. He deserves a go.

yep you are right foxychick although he didnt get the ball today, his 2nd and third efforts were good, he is hard at it which is good. Agree also on posts about holland, he was important today.

On Trav Cloke, yet another promising game. This criticism is pretty silly considering he is so young but he hasnt given a solid 4 quarter performance, he seems to play very well in the first half and die off a bit in the second. This is because he is young and not accustomed to the speed of the game. He will soon take a game by the scruff of the neck for 4 quarters. A real superstar, do we have a riewoldt on our hands? Thank god rocca is out, it gave us the chance to unleash him.

Good point Foxychick, Hawthorn could not ignore Rusling.
I think his speed surprised them the first few times he got near the ball and by presenting he gave options and made space for the other forwards.
