There's no doubt at all that both Tex & Cam need to lift their work rates dramatically, and Cam needs a lot of gym work, but who is prepared to say that these boys couldnt be champions if they put in that work? What's to stop them? I too have criticised Cam's lack of intensity, but it's something that can be changed.
Like I said, a lot of work ahead of them, but they could get there.

I wouldn't say he is a natural ruckmen. Definitely not. He can pinch hit, but is better as a third tall forward at this stage. You are right, he has the agression to do it, but lacks the tank and the pace around the ground. The new ruck rules don't suit him.35forever wrote:Cam is a natural ruckman. 35forever totally agree. I have been probably the most critical on cam. I am not critical on his talent, i am critical on his effort so far this year. Cam probably has more potential and talent than Dane Swan, however Swan has shown something. I have no doubt cam will be a big player for collingwood, however he has got to show a bit more.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

Johnno, you only strengthen my point. He lacks the pace & the engine, but unlike height, aggression & natural talent, pace & motor size can be improved through sheer hard work.
But you are right, the new rules dont suit a lot of ruckmen. I should have said Cam is a natural ruckman as the definition stood last year. Having a natural leap is no longer an advantage, but then that stupid rule will be changed soon.
