Are we on a roll? Can we actually win two in a row and keep up our form from last weekend?

I rekon Josh to come in for Cameron. Has not done too much wrong but needs a break. Davis to come in for Davies and Woey to come in for Swan. Once again, Swan has not done too much wrong but just will happen i rekon. The reason we won on the weekend was as much to do with our expereienced players as our rookies. These three ins will be good for us.

Just as I had prepared myself for draft picks we start winning again ... I still don't know which one I'd prefer at this stage as I want to see sustained success at this club.

But to hell with it... knock over the Hawks big time and show them our kids are better than their kids any day of the week :)

We can be the angry parents shouting from the sidelines :)

I cannot wait for this one. It is bound to be a beauty. Both sides have plenty of potential, and, hard to believe, are in great form. We are a real chance. Why?

-Hawks are coming back from Subiaco - will the curse strike again?
-Been cost a days preparation in choosing to stay a day in Perth for Bateman's memorial
-We have had effectivly two extra days off

Who is out for both sides?:

Nick Holland, John Barker.

Buckley, Rocca - Fraser and Woewodin to return, as will Davis.

I went to Hawks vs Demons, and was impressed by the Hakws fitness and pace, and the way they opened up the wings to run the ball. Tim Clarke, for as much of a hack that he has been from 2001-2004, has turned it around this year, and is a dangerman. Will be placed on Caracella this week. Bateman has also slipped under plenty of guards. Great pace and wins a heap of the ball, must be tagged by Rhyce Shaw. The Hawthorn midfield of Crawf, Mithcell, Vandenburg and Hodge as well as Spida in the ruck is in the top four going around at the moment (on form) and will take some stopping. We hsould line up like this:

Crawf vs Licca
Mitchell vs Dutchy
Hodge vs Dids
Vanders vs Burnsy
Spida vs Fanning/Rogan

Fairly even, although Hodge may slip away from Dids on occasions. Should prove a top class duel from two high draft choices from 2000/2001. Shaw has to play in the middle to counter the Dawks pace, and the inclusion of Ruzza and Yakka would be more then handy. Play Egan in the middle as well, as his pace and arrgance will hurt the Hakws in differing ways.

Their defnece is also top class. Croad is in All-Aus form, while Smith and Hay are class players, as is Michael Osborne, who has snuck under many guards early on. Croad will take Tarrant, while Hay will move to Fraser when resting. Don't be surprised to see Tarrant and Smith go against one another, as Smith has a good recent history on Taz, back in 03 nullifying his influence. Osborne will take Egan or Cara. Their forward line is not muli-pronged. All supply goes to Williams no matter what. He outmarked the Demons 3 on 1 so many times it was not funny. Clement will get first crack, with JASON CLOKE sitting in the hole in defence. Why Clokey? He does that job brilliantly, and his size will get in the way of Willo. No Barker, no Thompson. They lack other avenues without Holland as well. Fairly even if we can hold Williams. Remember, Clemo is an All-Aus defender.

IN: Ruzza, Yakka, Rogan, Woey???

OUT: ?? Davies, Swan, ???

Big game. Win this and we are 1-2 games off 8th....

I really want us to belt Hawthorn! Neither of our teams a top 4 contenders and realisticly not finals contenders. However if the kids in ours and Hawthorns side develop we want our kids to have a winning culture over them and without Buckley.

In a few years we could both be playing against each other in the last two weeks of the season and to have hold over them like Brisbane over us or us over port will come in very handy.

Fremantle Richmond loss = Darkest hour

Westcoast = Dawn

We have hopefully come form 30 weeks of darkness and we our now stronger, we should want to win all games untill our playing group bottom out, lets hope it doesn't happen for a while!

Just posing the question 3rd degree. With so many players competing for a place in the side, it is surely a good thing.

Places this week - how do we fit them all in?

Possible ins this week:

-Rusling
-Fraser
-Woewodin
-Iacobucci
-Cole
-Davis
-Lonie
-C.Cloke
-J.Cloke

9 players in total. A handy list, as well. Players in bold are in red hot form ATM.

Players In Contention to be dropped this week (no one deserves it):

-Davies
-Swan
-????

9/2 just doesn't go. Who makes room? I'd have Fraser as a definite in, and maybe Ruzza and Yakka, and....??????

Assuming Fanning stays, second big man is between C.Cloke, Fraser, Hall. Hall is unlikely yet. I would prefer Cloke since Fraser probably needs more match fitness at Willi -but I'm not a selector.

Davies has had his run and is due for a change. Russling or Davis are the possibilities. For midfield run probably Davis. Russling for Swan if the selectors want to go offensive rather than defensive and to maintain 4 newbies in the firsts (T.Cloke, Egan, Fanning, +1).

My bets
in Davis, Russling
out Davies, Swan.

If Fraser, Cole, Wowodin, Richards all play at Willi this week, it should be an interesting game.

I wouldn't drop Swan.... He did enough on the weekend and played great against Richmond...

Personally i'd like to see Ryan Lonie get another go, even though his form hasn't been too good for Williamstown...

Davies is the likely omission, with Josh to come in...

Bring woey back for Williamstown to start off with.
