Yep, well most teams bounce back after 100 point defeats and usually are a bit flat after 100 point victories so i suppose that suits us both ways. No doubt they will play better on the mcg with a crowd although i have a feeling richmond will have the majority of the crowd which is dissapointing.
They have stafford out so knobel will probably ruck. He is ok at best. Doesnt look like Richards and Fraser will play and Fanning is on the injury list so we are just as screwed in the ruck. Cam will probably come in and get belted again but give a good effort.
I got this big feeling about Tarrant this week. Against popular opinion, i actually think Tarrant is in ok touch. He is marking the ball ok, presenting, seems fit again. His kicking is still a bit off but to have 4,5 shots a goal with our midfield is still a good effort considering he is usually against 3 opponents.
If Lonie and Didak are in and playing centre, hopefully Tarrant can get some good delivery. Didak has definately set up a few goals with his little game time so far and Lonie played a good game in the reserves and his kicking has been perfect at training from what ive seen. We need some class deliverying the ball. Rheece's kicking has improved a lot as well. He still struggles at full pace a bit but his general field kicking is fields better. Richmonds defence has held up but.
Some possible matchups
Licuria vs Coughlan to shut him down
Clement vs Brown- Brown is in his best form and kicking goals. Wallace likes playing him up forward as he struggles to win his own ball in the centre. Clement should follow him around everywhere, he is the only matchup for him in my mind. Hopefully that will drag clement into the middle where he can unleash some 50 metres passes or even kick a goal.
Presti vs Richardson, or even cloke if mick is feeling like testing someone out. Hoping Presti but.
Shaw could run wild again
Burns v Kane Johnson
Im predicting a much better effort. Whether we will win is another story.

most teams would bounce back after a 100+ belting but we really don't have a team left so, i don't know. its a grand total of 14 players out of a list of 44, keeping in mind that we have about 6 to 13 untried payers or ones who have played less then 5 games. THAT IS SHOCKING, for a club with the facilities we have.
my prediction tigers by about 8 goals. if we are lucky.
ins: rusling, C2, presti, hall, shaw, swan
out: o'bree, cole(injuried), walker(injuried), fraser(injuried), woey(injuried), davies(injuried)
tactics= go small and hope to out run them, coz we got no talls left. go small in forwardline and let tarrant roam. play C1 as loose in half back, let C2 and hall ruck.

Optimism.
We'll bounce back.
Close Game.
actually, thinking about it, im not too fussed about the result. Of course i'd love a win, but firstly i'd like to see us play with Tikka.
If they do, i'd still be ok with a loss.
As long as its not a thrashing.

the way i see it.
our back 6 is good dont touch it apart from bringing in presti.
midfield. we need some pace in this area (coz richmond) have pacy midfielders so johnson and has to come in.
forwards. this is we were are lacking. we need forwards. we can not rely on tazza all the time to mark and kick the goals.
we need some talls to come in as well coz i think richmond may be 1 tall player down (stafford) so if we can get a tall in like 2 and some forwards we may have a chance of winning.

Win.
Burnsy has asked for a solid turnout from our Melbourne supporters.
I can't assist there, but I can fly the flag.
Can I ask all our Melbourne bretheren to turn up and sound off.
When our lads enter the arena, DROWN the place with your loudest, gutsiest, heartiest support.
Do it!
Do it for our Marvelous Magnificent Miraculous Marauding Magpies.
Yell at the first ball up and and blast those insipid wannabes out of the park.
