Watched the Willi - Bendigo clash yesterday and got a good look at Morrison. I'll preface my comments by stating that I have not been a wrap for him. Yesterday's performance, and yes it was only Willi 2nds, has altered my thinking.

Billy played across half back and played exceptionally well given that he was apposed to a bloke a couple of inches shorter and definately a lot quicker.

He read the play well, provided options, crashed packs, made contests that I thought beyond him, disposal was good by hand and foot, and showed skill below his knees that I didn't think he had.

Well worth the extra time he may need to continue his development. At the very least, I'd keep him ahead of Williams, Lokan, C Morrison, Caracella, O'Bree, Wakelin, King, Swan and Holland.

I also thought that Hall showed a bit in the seniors.

Good to hear jackcass, lets hope he gets a chance in the Willy 1s and continues to improve through the year. Lets face it, these 2 guys have taken a lot of investment - 1st 2 draft picks in 2003 - and if they both fail we are another year behind.

Very encouraging reports. I agree we need to be patient and that genuine big blokes (as opposed to the athletic oversized ruck rovers) need longer to develop. The club needs to see improvement and development to keep them on the list. Both Hall and Morrison have just turned 19 this january, provided they're showing signs we should keep them as projects and get rid of some of the older ones who've had their chance.

I too support Jackass' views. From the little I saw of the Willi seconds game against Bendigo, I thought Billy tried hard and played well. Like Jack, I would definitely keep him for at least another year ahead of a few other players.
Another player who did OK for Willi seconds was Davidson.

Was injured pre-season this year after kicking 6 goals in a practice match.

if l was Billy Morrison l would sue Collingwood for all this embarrassing
commets on here as he should have never been drafted
He has no idea how to play
can't take a mark because he's to slow to get to the contest
dosen't know how to get in a postion to get the ball
to slow to pick a man up
can't really say how he kicks as l havn't seen much of that
he might look ok on the training track but looks crap on match days
to me only looks as good as a surburban reserve player
sounds harsh but gee collingwood
l feel for the kid. l hope l'm wrong and good luck billy

Well when the pies were over in perth for the Freo game, Scotty Cummings was the host of the pre game function, someone asked him about billy and he said as much that if he didnt start to improve this season he was a goner at the end of. so i reckon that the pies may have wasted a good pick on this kid!!

Have you ever thought for one second that those players plus Cam could just simply be ordinary footballers?

Malthouse said after the hawks game that Hall was about 5-6 weeks from playing a game for Collingwood. So he can't be doing too bad, not sure about Morrison seems like a dud.
