Interesting to consider that in the unlikely (on paper) event we beat Freo who are in the 8, we will be only one game behind them. Doesn't really make sense but it would keep the season alive. OTOH a loss surely would signal development year.
So this is pretty much do-or-die.

Our main hope may be above the neck since we do have the wood on them and players deepdown probably still expect to beat them.
This might be Maxwell's most important game, trying him on Pavlich (as suggested by Cam) would be great for his development and a pretty good matchup. If that fails JC superstar, and Max could go on another of their key forwards which would also be a vital matchup. But to be honest I'd prefer JC start on Pavlich, as it would bring JC into the game more, partly in a midfield role.
Hopefully Davies can add some midfield dash, and Yakka (assuming he is now playing, letting me off the hook) will be ready to back himself as a runner also, this will be v important with Leon and Johnno out.

I agree a lot os above the head. That is why it will interest me just as much to get a read on how Lockyer, OBree, Holland, Woey and Cole go. These blokes are looking the season in the eye. Another bad one from any of them will see them gone next week.
