As long as julian and maxy dont get dropped i think we have a win win situation especially with williams dropped (it took long enough mick!!! )
Pity if sexy texy has to get dropped though, but if that means joshy plays i can live with it.

It is a very interesting game considering that we are playing like crap (injury doesnt help) and the saints are starting to play some reasonable footy.
We are very lucky to have this game played at the mcg as the saints dont play the ground very well at all.
If travis can continue on from where he left of last week, then it menas that we can have to dangerous targets up foward with him and taz. Having two options allows so much more variety which brings in doubt into the saints dfenders and of course then brings the small crumbing fowards into the game (carracella)

Our defense is as strong as it can be so i have no worries with us being able to hold them it is just as everyone is saying can we match them in the midfield and kcik enough goals.
Well if we play dids, johno and julian in the middle for a bit of pace and ability to hit targets then we are halfwya to winning the battle.
Scotty battles hard and will be fine if the player who was unwell last week (my money was on lica) stands up like he usually does then the heart, strength and leadership part is also taken care of.

Im hoping for a good game with our younsters to start showing exactly why they are playing instead of williams (who is CRAP!!!), woey and lonie.

Great news re Fraser, Yakka and Clokey. Willo had to be dropped, where as Woey may have been a tad unlucky. Probably should have got one more week. Dave, I can't see Tarks dropped in the near future. He'll bounce back.

jonno u also said woey wouldnt b dropped lol. I thought we were going to give woey time to bounce back as well. Truth is tarks is just as out of form as woey. If not worse.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

Nah I disagree. Tarks needs a bit more game time. Rarely starts on the field.

dave 86 get of Lokyer's back, how can you say he has been worse than Woey, he is in the leadership group can kick out from fullback, cover many positions and kick goals, sure he hasn't had match winning games this year but he is collingwood through and through

Everyone seems to be forgetting that its MM's 500th game. Landmark games usually cause players to lift (eg Grant's 300th last week etc). Would hope that the players treat it as a way of "doing it for MM"

I have a feeling this game will be a lot closer than many of you think. I don't think they'd pick Fraser unless he was some chance of playing. If he plays, and Walker goes, with the buzz of all 3 Clokes playing............some Hard Yakka coming off the bench............I sniff an upset. And it's at the G.

Schmitt was the one who reported Bucks for striking Thommo back in 2002 wasn't he? :)

Interesting this. No one gives us a hope in hell, and I must admit, I havent tipped them either. However our backline is going great guns at the moment, so I dont think it will be a huge thrashing. Our boys need to lift big time, the inclusion of Josh will give us that extra height around the ground and in forward 50.

A big game from Dids would be nice too, its time :)

The season is not entirely over just yet, the injection of some new 'unknown' youth may be the spark we need. The boys must not drop their heads and give it away.

All I want to see is a spirited contest and for them to fight it out all the way.

Why is Rowe named on the bench so often. MM and Eddie make a media statement we are going to try our youth and still we see rowe named on bench.

Rowe is our future and present. He should always be named before O'Bree. Rowe had a great last quarter and has been fantastic when on the ground. Has made a few mistakes but I for one am very happy with his progress just want to see him on the ground more often.
