everyone is saying play a loose man in defence but this will mean tarrant will get double teamed and will have no chance. remember the last time tarrant played them, he got like 4/5 goals and no one could match up on him. and that was without rocca playing. if we are able to play man on man all over the ground we mite have a chance.
i neva thouight i would say this but i think we should bring j cloke back into the side. put him loose in our backline and as teams have figured him out, they will try make him accountable. this will mean we have one extra man in defence though they will all have a man while on the other end of the ground, we have a 5 on 5. it frees up our forward line and gives tarrant a chance.
even if they don't match up on cloke, him playing loose will really help our defence. it should be a win/win for us

For some strange reason, I think we may cause an upset this week. I think as far as the opposition is concerned we are an unknown factor. If we introduce C1, Rusling and maybe Yakka. Drop Willo, Woey. With C3 to improve on last weeks great debut, who knows. I actually think we may be on for another similar win to the Carlton game. I reckon MM would have told a few home truths to a few players last week and delivered a rocket. Hopefully we will play hard and direct, I've talked myself into it........PIES by 24.
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!

The aints are in form, we are lucky we haven't played any real quality the saints past two weeks are enough for me to know we are not up to there level. We need to be realistic. How is collingwood gonna beat a side who has won with ease against two sides sittin above us, when we cant even beat sides below us. Seriously saints will be way to good for us.

Not giving up yet. Just saying that they deserve their go now, especially Yakka and Ruzza, given their white hot form - particuarly when Willo, O'B, and Woey are out of touch.tazzies_girl wrote:I think everyone, especially Mick Malthouse and the Club have given up to early. Its only round 6 and already they're saying "Play the young kids, play the Williamstown team members". Lets remember bak to 2003 round 7 when Chris Tarrant won us the game against Adelaide. Every1 said it was a do or die game, we luckily won that game and went on to play in the Grand Final that year. I no this years a different case with all our injuries and that, but still, it very early to give the season away. In conclusion, i dont think we'll win this week, although i can c it as a possibility coz we were so bad last week, but no we wont win. Hopefully we wont get flogged though. And Taz gets more goals than Gherig. Taz is a chance for the Coleman, lol yes im an optimistic girl

guys seriously, although i dont think we will win, we will kick more goals this week than we have in the past. Saints dont flood or drop players back. THey leave aussie loose in defence to sweep, but that wont affect tarrant, we must put a player onto jones and try and exploit him in the air.
I like a comment in this thread that we are yet to play good opposition. Thats so true, we do better when we are challenged. Shit teams make u shit. We could do the same to saints this week. Although we may loose, expect a more free flowing game, and a high scoring one. THat would favour us because our defence is ultimately better. We may win a shoot out.

id say players to miss are Walker/Fraser, swan and shaw making the bench Walker/Fraser, Rowe, Maxwell, yakka
If Fraser plays, walker doesnt. If Fraser does not pull up, walker gets a chance. Otherwise it is too tall, especially with j clo and maxwell in the same team competeting for the backline spot.
I thought maxwell on kosi would be the way to go. Id say it will still happen to.
Bloody get rowe on the field fast.
