He wasn't at his best, but gave a contest - which is all we can ask.MagpieGrant wrote:C2 - see you in Willi when richards and fraser get back
Cara was ok. Welsh wore him like a glove.MagpieGrant wrote:Carra - go back to Essendon if you are going to play like that
Rowey has to be up for a Rising Star nomination.
I have to disagree with you there, I thought Tarks was to easily brushed aside and seemed to lack run in his legs, I'm sorry but I just don't rate him as highly as some others on this forum.[/quote]
You have a point. Although since his knee injury his leg speed hasn't been the same.

Just not sure we can lash C2 and Tex too much until they are played in their positions, ie, the forward line, ie until Fraser and Richards come back and have played a few games. Till then, what is the point of saying someone is crap when they are not even being played where they are comfortable and should be playing. Why not play Wakelin in the forward line and then when he stuffs up, say he is crap. We would not do that. Until we get some players back, it is very hard to be too critical on the big boys. No excuses for the mid-fielders though coz the only one missing is Bucks and possibly Davis.

sourav they are young and are obvious talents, but at the moment they just dont present and dont do enough to warrant us giving them anything other than criticism. I dont doubt young cloke heart and i dont doubt his strength. What i do doubt is his pace, football brain, awareness and skill. But fair point in that they havent been tried in their proper positions.

Walker is not a ruckman, but we have no choice. C2 can't ruck all day. C2 is not a ruckman, but we have no choice. Fraser and Richards will be back soon so things will change there. Walker and C2 have their chance to prove themselves in the forward line.
Rocca is probably gone for the year and the silver lining is we have now cast our eyes on what the club has been waiting for for 3 years..... Travis Cloke. A very bright light in a dismal day. Johno is still improving and well on his way to a permanent midfield role. Rhyce Shaw improving at a rapid rate.
The focus now is on the longer term future. The injuries will have to be seen as another opportunity to find the talent on our list just like last year. Don't mistake it... we are rebuilding and have been for 18 months.

Did anyone here MM's press confrence on triple M. He said they took the risk of playing an ill player against the advice of the medical team.He refused to the name the player when quizzed. I'm guessing Licca.
Thought Tarks was disappointing.Run down by Hird and then punching the ball away in the backline when he could have taken an uncontested mark.
TC,Maxwell and Rowe must be played in every game from here.

What do you guys reckon for this as a midfield next week:
Rowe, Shaw, Johnson
Rucks: Richards, Lica, Burns
Bench: Yakka(rotating with Rowe), Lonie(rotating with Johnson), Didak (impact player, coming on becoming a goal kicking midfielder), C3(back up ruck)
Mixture of youth and pace. Left footers on one wing, right on the other. Nothing but pace through the centre, tough nuts in for the ruck.

Yes, that is all im saying Dave 86. Yes, they dont present that much and C2 is extremely slow, no doubt about it. But until they are played in their position, it is just too hard to say. Leave them both in the forward line when our two ruckman come back and see how we go. Remember, at the moment, our 3 best ruckman are all injured which is pretty bloody unlucky.

when dids was on, he was effective i thought. Just wasnt fit enough to run out the match. I actually wouldve preffered him to spend more time on but sit up forward. He may have been able to sneak a few goals. Playing him in the middle first week back is tough.
