Tex dropped 3 easy marks inside 50 today. He is a great shot for goal but cant win possession. WHy cant he mark. Really our midfield wasnt that bad. We kept jason johnson, mark johnson, murphy and peverill quiet enough. Thougth caracella lost badly to welsh.

atleast last week he had two shots for goal. Today he didnt even look like getting the ball. Malthouse wasnt even willing to put him on. Also on cole, he was much better today when he got the ball, however his opponent was lovett. Cole lacked tackling power today. Was much more composed when he received it however ive seen him harder at the ball on many other occasions. Needed to rough up lovett and give him a really big tackle or bump just to make him feel one. Lovett just ran right over him.

Are there any good lip readers out there? Would love to know some of MM's words at 3 qtr time.
Or is one of our serial posters who knows someone "high up in the club" out there who could possibly fill us in?
Even a rumour would do for starters, just to take my mind off another Anzac day f-up.

OK people - one idea - lets focus on the positives.
T. Cloke - good debut.
The much maligned R. Shaw - great game.
Young players with SPIRIT - T. Cloke, Walker, Rowe, Shaw - even Cole and Johnson - young and trying to do their best.
Many below their best. More SPIRIT needed.
First post - YES.
Problems with my credibility - YES.
Read my other topic.
Still have problems - Too bad.

I think 14 points in the end actually flattered us. We were absolutely crap and played without spirit and heart. It was like watching a game from 1902 at times with our slow disposal and decision making and fumbling etc etc!
There is a reality that has set in for me. We are not a top 8 side. In fact we will be lucky to finish out of the bottom 4. In terms of MM's bloody clock, we are no where near a premiership and we need to start the rebuilding process now!!! Players like Yakka and Rusling need to be thrown in now so we can see what they are made off. The reality is that we are already losing, so what have we got to lose???
Players like T Cloke and Shaw can hold their heads up high. Cloke was prepared to run all day, presented and tried hard all day and has a great centering kick. Shaw really was prepared to run the lines and is surely our most improved player this year!
It's going to be a long season!

For those who were at the Williamstown game yesterday MM went straight over to Rusling at the 3/4 time huddle.
I take this as a signal that Rusling will replace Williams next week. If not (and if no-one else replaces Williams) then all the supporters should organize a petition to Eddie to step in and sack the coach (or suspend him until such time as he comes to his senses).

Once again our lack of run through the middle was what killed us.
Our backline was up against it all day and as usual they stood tall. These guys save our arse from hidings every week. God forbid if anything happened to either JC, Wakes or Presti (who was fantastic on Lloyd for most of the day). These guys do their jobs week in week out.
Travis had a great debut. It doesn't take too long to see that here is a kid with the goods. Not just for some impressive stats, but more the way he looks like he wants to impose himself on the game. Maybe it's hard on them, but I'm yet to see C2 or Tex come close to that.
Rhyce should be clear Copeland leader at this stage and deservedly so.
If Williams gets selected next week then it is time for the men in the white coats to come for MM and sedate him. He was beyond embarassing today. I don't like bagging a guy who is playing at the highest level for the club I love (somwthing I'll only ever do in my dreams) but it pisses me off that a guy with hunger and skills like say King is not getting a look in while Willo gets game after game and doesn't deliver.

Williams, Woey, & O'Bree are an insult to our jumper & should never play again. Shaw, Rowe, Maxwell, C2 & C3 are our future.
I'd rather have C1 (yes, I know!) or Lokan on the forward line than Williams. At least both of them will put their head over the ball. Time for King & Yacca to come in for O'Bree & Woey, they are useless.
Walker cannot play in the Ruck. I'd rather see Fanning in the ruck than Walker.
Presti had a great game. Probably the in form full back in the league at the moment.

Agree. We reverted back to our horrible, slow, chip chip chip football from rounds one and two.spoljar wrote:I think 14 points in the end actually flattered us. natking, I HOPE HOPE HOPE you are right. Rusling (and Yakka) are hot right now, and should be ready to go. Play them now.
As for Cole, I liked his game, he worked hard, ran the lines at times, but got lost when opposed to Lovett. Is he coming or going? Hard to know. I like this guy a lot, as he gives us a physical edge, but if there ever was a time to really step up...
