cheers..
That's exactly what i was thinking M2003, I'll give Hird the max 2 yrs, but then our Bucks (and Burnsy) would prolly retire as well.

Today is a patheic, heartless display of football by our team (apart from 2nd Qtr lead by TCloke). NOt even the spray given by MM could save the team in the last qtr. I almost went up and switched off the tv, the pain was too much to bear

The only reasons I;m not punching walls right now:
(1) Travis Cloke
(2) Rhyce Shaw - unlucky not to get Anzac medal IMO...32 touches despite being knocked out - stood his ground and copped the hit so he could get the handpass out to Tarks. 15 out of his 17 kicks were effective. There was one notable clanger in the Q4 where there was no option but inside 50, but I think everyone should now officially lay off rhyce. Was great all day.
(3) Didak did something useful every time he got the ball. Is it just me or are Didak and Buckley the only players capable of kicking to a target inside 50?

Obree, williams, woewodin, carracella, lockyer should never play again for the pies

Cole, davis, didak, walker under consideration

obree, williams, and woey maybe, but surely not cara and tarkyn

Tarks and Caracella had bad games, But They can play again, The rest well. In my view which I know means nothing, They have very dark futures with us. Atleast they should do

May as well look at the postivies, namely the players who will be the future and who showed a bit today

Shaw
Cole
C3
C2
Maxwell
Rowe
Tex
Ben

Older Players still saving us

Waks
Presti
Clement
Morrison
Lika
Burns

Players who will be lucky to be around next year

O'bree
Williams
Woey

Players who are driving me crazy

Tarrant his kicking
Blake C being hard at it
Holland not being on enough
Lockyer being hard at it

I have not included Dids as its his first game back

What I don't understand is we have enough players to be a very good team, we don't get thrashed but out forward structure and disposal into the forward line sucks.

I only hope the return of Josh and Richards amke a difference as there isn't much else that is going to change.

Our awful recruiting and player development under MM is hurting us. We're gone!

Lockyer - weak, ineffective - certainly not a leader

O'Bree - shithouse, should have been delisted last year along with Williams.

Cole - Not a DEFENDER! FFS Malthouse WAKE UP!

Shaw - our best today, I thought he was very good.

Williams - ha ha ha ha ha ha that's funny! Oh wait it's not a joke!

T Cloke - excellent debut.

Holland - Didn't even know he was on the ground.

Woewodin - worst player to win a brownlow.

Tex - He'll never be a footballer at AFL level. He's got ZERO smarts.

Caracella - Weak.

Morrison - good.

C Cloke - lazy.

Licca - ineffective.

Johnson - shocker.

Didak - showed the class and directness that we lack.

Rowe - very good, WHEN ON GROUND :x

Shagger - Good.

Presti - Very good.

Taz - kicking for goal is bad as usual.

Clemo - very good game as skipper.

Maxwell - good.

Yeah i know... hard call but Carra is so soft we need to keep the ball into our ff50, we only kick 15 a game at best, therefore every time it goes in we have to keep it inthere, with either leon or dids we cannot have two gimmes.

tarks geez hard one but looked soft today and in the GF's he has played was overawed

First things first - todays game is not just a game but a celebration of those men and women who have given their lives for us to enjoy things like today. To that end, I always walk away celebrating the day. Not today, seldom do I walk away from an Anzac Day game upset and downright filthy with how we played.......... today I did.

Today we played without embodying the spirit of those men and women. And unfortunately it was our senior players. To my mind many of our best were our youngsters like T3, Rowe, Maxwell and C3. Shaw, the most maligned player at our club was clearly our best. THAT SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT WHERE WERE AT.......................

Burns, Woey, Lica, Lockyer, Holland, O'Bree, Cara, Williams and Tazza were a disgrace...... evidenced by the spray MM gave at 3/4 time. Not since Barrassi have I seen a coach savage his blokes like that. I know many of you would not dare listen to my thoughts on Woey when suggested it was time to move him on at the end of last year. I understand it was 50:50 but he is not capable of reproducing a consistent effort for 4 qtrs, and increasingly its an effort characterised by mistakes and poor judgement.

Lets visit a few blokes;

Cole - again had the fwd that ultimately was the most damaging. His judgement is poor. Two examples - 1qtr should have kicked for goal and instead kicked to Tazz who was behind - a goal eminated from it. Second - knocking the footy back into the CHF pos for Ess. Did not result in a goal but was terrible. He is not a backman - very few indigineous blokes are.

Williams and Woey - both dropped crucial marks in Q1 at HF. Footsteps appeared to be the reason. Woey's kicking from then on was poor. Both have to go.

Tristen Walker - had the opportunity to mark twice in Q3 in front of goal - dropped both. Jury is out but youth is on his side so we should perservere.

O'Bree - what is going thru his mind to handball blind twice in the backhalf which resulted in turnovers. Drop him and then cull him

TC - fabulous effort

R.Shaw - if you are still on his back - get off. Bar one mistake he may have almost won it for us if he was still there for the last 10 min.
I hate saying this about a footy club I care v deeply for..... but for gods sake our coaching dept have to make changes.

Rowe - can anyone tell me why he does not get more game time?

Burns and Lica - club legends - just had bad ones.

C2 - could be anythingn but needs to get quicker.

Wakes, presti, Clement, Johno, Maxwell - good games and frankly kept us in it by pushing the bombers wide.

Morrison and Cara - well all I can say is thank god they did not really cost us much. Probably to early to judge but neither put their head over the footy.

MM - after a spray like that you figure out pretty quickly whether your players are still with you or not - the question is being asked I suspect.

My changes for next week;

Out - O'Bree, Williams, Woey,
In: King, Iaboucci, Cloke,

Thanks for indulging me

Have to agree with you on Rowe. Showed a lot of promise when he was on but spent something like 60% of the match off. Obree had a shocker. I actually thought burnsy may have been our best today, licuria went a bit quiet but was ok. Rheece is a bees diaphram away from been an alright player. Just isnt effective. But he is our most improved so far this year and has added much needed pace. He just isnt effective enough when he has it. But he is definately a real player for us to build our midfield around. More game time will improve his skills. Just going back a few years, he can sometimes go into his shell after a knock. Just hope todays one wont effect him because he has got gutsier this year.
