playd with no spirit, even with the game in the balance. Players did not care. I have bruised knuckles and things have been thrown. Hurts as a supporter. Can not see what we can do.
Ouch, As I get bagged by the many of essendon supporting friends, Ill just cop it on the chin knowing the only reason we lost is because we playd shit.
My outlook on the season has changed to, let the young players get some experience, and get rid of some of them god dam hopeless ones.
Do we need to rebuild?
Overall, WD To some players: T.Cloke, Rowe, Shaw, Burns at times.
More negatives than posatives to come out of that, to angry to say anything good at the moment

All I will say is PATHETIC all round...no ANZAC spirit.I still recon that the kick after the siren to Hurd was the back breaker.
Nothing at all after 1/4 time.
RASPBERRIES all round.
St.K next week....god knows what the slaughter will be like.

Great, just when you start thinking we might be on the road to improvement, the reality sets in that we are officially the worst team in the competion. MM ripped into the players at 3/4 time and rightly so, they were bloody ordinary. Woewoeful is a hack, worst player to win a brownlow ever and the other usual strugglers need to be moved on. Travis Cloke looks to have a promising future and Shaw had a good game before he got KO. A scrappy contest overall from both sides that was boring as hell to watch, and would have had the Anzacs turning in their grave.

Completely the players fault, MM didn't structure the forward line at all during the week, coz we were completely at sea trying to find a forward target, but apart from that the players showed nothing.
Not looking good at all for this year.

Post Match
Our worst performance for the year against the second worst team in the comp. Either MM should resign now if he he wants to continue playing duds like Williams or O'Bree, or revamp the team from next week, by playing Yakka, Rusling, King, C1, Lonie and Richards.
Thanks MM for destroying Walker by playing him in the ruck rather than playing him down the forward line (just like you destroyed C1 by playing him as a forward).
As a consulation MM you've given us just about the best back line in the comp and the worst midfield and forward line.
The one shining light is that after two dud drafts (2002 and 2003) I think we finally got it right last year and drafted players who might actually have long term careers at Collingwood.
We should now tank the rest of the season as there's really no point in winning (until we play Carlton in the second half of the season).
Priority draft pick here we come.
