I dunno if this is just me, but ive heard a few times this week that going by each teams list, essendon is better. I just cant comprehend this. All year ive been hearing people say collingwood is listless, i think we hav a good list, a very competitive one. The problem is that it is not gelling. But at full strength our list would have to be top 8.

Holland Wakelin Shaw
Ess Coll Coll

C: Bolton Murphy Welsh
Cole O;Bree Caracella
Dud even Dud even Coll

HF: Lucas Bradley Hird
Burns Walker Morrison
Ess Coll Ess

F: MJ Lloyd Lovett
Williams Tarrant Lockyer

For the teams out there tomorrow, Collingwood > Essendon

Both teams are missing no1 and no2 ruckman, we are missing our top 2 players, they arent.

Our list looks better to me

DaVe86 wrote:jonno actually dont mind the look of that team you named. I think with essendons dangerous attack it may be worth bringing in cloke. However we cant play both cloke and williams in the same side, its just too tall. So i like the balance in it. Bench has got some pace on it. Good report
Williams isn't tall enough to hold down a key position, and a bit too tall to play as a small. But I agree with your second post - Essendon's list is NOT better then ours. Bottom of the ladder side, and are going backwards.

eddiesmith, good anaylis(sp?) but I doubt that's the way they'll line up. Surely Holland won't take McPhee?

u also put caracella ahead of welsh, welsh has been very good so far this year. Whoever takes welsh must be very accountable. He gets a lot of loose touches. But great post. I totally agree. I think even with our injuries our list is better

I compared the players in the same positions, i.e. Backman on backman, not who they will lineup on. Just showing that each of our lines are stronger. Should have said that

If ever there is a game that depends on the between the ears factor, this is it, especially wrt Collingwood. I think we are playing with a lot of belief but goal kicking is still mediocre which seems to often be a "belief" factor. However Essendon are in poor form and undermanned, so we should have enough confidence to overwhelm them.

Great to see C3 getting a game, I hope the C's and Walker have been watching Rocca's last 2 games - fight like the devil and back your strength and mongrel to break free. I thought Rocca was in career-best form.

I don't think we are the team that runs teams like Essendon into form like we used to be (and does that piss you off when that happens? just a tad), The team is tougher and more mature than that now - but this will be an excellent test of that particular aspect.

If we win by 19 pts, we will be in the 8! With % of 99.6.

Willo has been named in the forward pocket, while Ruzza isn't even an emergency. When did you hear this stuff, favourites? :)
