Will T3 be the first player ever to debut and be reprimanded by the club in the same week!?!

ah the intrigue.

I stand to be corrected but I thought it was C2 who was reprimanded, not C3 (assuming that T3 was a typo)

They're hyping up the Anzac game yet again on SEN. All of this is in Essendon's favour and can only harm us. Were this a normal Essendon game, we would win easily. They are playing crap, we are playing well, despite the lack of 'four pointses'. But the more they hype it up, the more it helps Essendon realise that they beat us easily the last 2 times we played, and that anyone can win on Anzac.

I've always hated the Anzac game. It's a stupid bloody idea hyped up solely to generate cash, and means we have to face Essendon twice each & every year. Essendon are a rich club with 16 flags, they will always field a competitive team. Imagine if a similar idea ensured that we'd play West Coast at Subiaco every year? Similarly, Melbourne are often a crap team, playing them on the Queen's birthday means we only play them once a year.

DUMB IDEA!

Why cant we promote an idea that sees us playing Hawthorn, Footscray & the Lower Plenty under 12's 3 times a year!!

Let them hype Essendon up, let those soft !@#!s think they are going to win. We will just sit back and let everyone think what they want, then show them otherwise on Monday.

hmmmm 35forever, how can you possibly knock ANZAC day. Its the best thing about been a collingwood supporter. Plus if the players cant rise to the occasion on ANZAC day it shows they are no good under pressure. I think its why we have such a good record in finals (irrespective of grand final record) because we play crunch games during the season. Young kids get a feel for the big time and experienced players lap it up. Come finals, everyone knows the feeling of a big game with huge atmosphere.

ANZAC day is tradition. If we were down and out, we'd be in the same position as essendon. Remember we are on the same amount of wins as them, which means we need this game just as much. Our hunger should be no more or less than theirs.

Essendon will come out hard, but if we don't allow them a 9 goal first quarter we will have enough to come through.

All of the bookies have the Bummers as favorites at $1.80. We are at $2.00. Hope they're all wrong. Even with all our injuries, we've been playing much better, and with a lot more heart, than them. That said, they always fire up for ANZAC Day. If we can get on top early, I think we can run away with it. Pies by 32.
How they could be favourites I'll never know. Apart from a small burst on Saturday night, what have they shown us this season???

Mate, it is the biggest and many times has been the best match of the Home and Away season. A great way of honouring the ANZAC's. And anyway, we always face the Dons twice a year. Its like we do with the Blues as well - tradition.
They were pretty much the same team we face Monday, and beat us from pillar to post. As I watch "Last time they met", it's all I can do to keep from weeping! We were bloody awful, with only Licca, Burns & O'bree providing a fight, and brief moments of brilliance from Lonie, Kingy, Neon & Rhyce. Frighteningly, we were without Pebbles that night, and his absence was noticeable. Burns was excellent up forward that night too. Mind you McKee & McGough had good nights too.
We were in horrible form that night. I doubt it will happen again this week.

Bradley injured
Hird injured
McPhee injured

This is going to be a cakewalk, smart play and we can make sure their bench is useless after 5 minutes

no cakewalk, you never know what will happen on anzac day, but its probably the most winnable game we've had this year. I agree with cam, if we can absorb the first quarter pressure we'll win easily.

Our 'mates' over at bomberblitz are sure of their chances. Well some of them.

Nice of them to quote some of us though. :) Really, in spite of anything, these games can produce anything. Jimmy might kill us again or maybe Tazz might get away for a few. More hope than anything despite what anyone says. Including me :)

Oh and don't go there and troll. We don't like it here, I'm sure they don't like it there.

you know whats shits me the most. The Lloyd comments. When brisbane players did it to an obviiously injured riewoldt, everyone thought it was grouse. Now we plan to do it to lloyd, who has officially declared himself fit and goes out with an armguard responsible for thurgoods terrible injury, everyone complains we are soft. If Lloyd has to play with plaster on his arm, he is not right, so why shouldnt we exploit it? Brisbane has set a precedent with that and the afl has displayed it is within the rules. If buckley went in with a sore leg, id expect them to rough him up as well. Its just footy these days.

Bradley left the training track tonight with Knee problems, Sheeds said he would play, but that makes 2 sore knees to attack

Never be to confident, but if you re injure their players leaving them with 1,2 max on the bench for the game, they would stand no chance. Its time to stand up and show some mongrel
