Gut-wrenching loss, but at least they showed some guts. I really felt for Taz. The media will blame him for the loss, but he tried his guts out & you cant ask for more than that.

We are obviously playing a lot better than in the first 2 rounds, but we've got bugger all to show for it. If thats the best North can do, they pretenders & just keeping someones elses spot warm.

Wowey & Williams must go. Next week, C3, Didak & maybe Egan should all come in. Taz looked a little proppy in the last quarter, hope he's OK.

I was dissapointed in Walkers effort after Rocca went off. It was his chance to put his hand up, but he didnt really fire a shot.

If we play like that against the Bummers, we'll win. I just hope we dont drop our bundle, now that were playing a lot better.

sorry if I sounded too negative. I'm not a rhyce knocker. As you say, Well is brilliant and its unfair to rhyce to imply it was his fault Wells played well. I think Rhyce played well and has cemented his spot in the side over the past few weeks. As I said, his disposal has improved enormously with the extra confidence and he didn't give away any free kicks that I noticed. Also provided some much needed run in the second half. He also put his body on the line when he dived sideways in front of Sav to block his run/push the ball out

Just looking at the ladder and it would appear that we could possibly go up one spot. We are currently tenth and out of the 8 on percentage...it depends what happens with fremantle and bulldogs. One of carlton or port will go above us on points but other sides may drop.

As long as we stay in touch!

Our worst 3 were
3 votes: Cam Cloke (just didnt do anything good, despite trying hard)
I unfortunately also saw Shaw would play on Wells, wish he didnt

As for the worst? You sir are an idiot  17 hitouts, tried hard all night, gave our midfield first use of the ball all night, and constantly got kicked to when he was 1 on 3 roos players. Did a good job and FAR FAR FAR from our worst player and provided more of a contest than many out there, like Tex

provided a contest yes
Did anything effective no

I admire the man, he tries with all his heart and it is not his fault because he is not a ruckman and is still young and learning the game. He is giong to be a fantastic player. Last night however we needed him to have a greater influence on the game but he was unable to. He started timing his leaps late in the game. Also when he went up for marks, he sometimes went up one handed and didnt crunch the packs hard enough.

I dont dislike him, just didnt rate his game last night. Is a prospect however and has a bit of grunt about him which we need. Is very important now without rocca. And mate its just an opinion, no need calling me an idiot. If you dont agree say so but no need for that.

While I agree that it is gut numbing to lose like that, I am proud of the way the boys played the game. It is a vast improvement on the performance in the first two games and augurs well for a much better season than I had feared.

And there is something to cheer about.

The pussies from Brisbane got done!

And, at the end of the round one of either Port Adelaide, Essendon or Carlton must be at the bottom of the ladder. (I get a certain satisfaction from seeing those pretenders from SA on the bottom at the moment.)

That's worth a drink at least.

Certainly one that got away. Generally speaking, its been the story of our season so far. I really think it would be unfair to blame players because the effort was certainly there. With a bit of luck, we may very well have been 4-0 this season. Instead we are really looking down the barrel and are clutching at straws as we will be playing catch up from here on. The reality is that we have not really met the top teams as yet and I dont think any game is a certainty even against the likes of the Dawks and Tigers.

PS - North Melbourne you are not even close to being premiership contenders. Your wank of a Spirit will not even go close to winning a premiership! If we had our full team on the park, we would have won that game by 10 goals +. You can take your spirit and shove it up your ass you pack of Charity Case, we dont know where our home ground is, have no supporters Wankers!

The one handed marking attempts from Cam seemed to be to be aimed at protecting his shoulder - from memory it was always the same arm up

Many a player has struggled to regain confidence in marking after shoulder surgery - hopefully a few more games may give him that - he is ceraintly a big enough unit to cause other teams some grief if he can get some confidence

I still can't find it in myself to comment much about the game last night. They fought hard, but lost out in the end to a team who are now 4 - 0, but seriously didn't play like a team that should be 4 - 0.

Shaw is improving week by week and i believe this might be his year a la the old Ben Johnson style of a few years ago.

Very happy with the progress of our very own Nick Maxwell and Julian Rowe and also Tex Walker.

Not going to make any more comments about Williams as it's just wasted. O'Bree seems to get a lot of possessions.......

North are pretenders and will slide.

I thought we played a good brand of football and probably deserved the win, it just wasn't meant to be. I am still encouraged by what I saw. If Taz had of kicked that goal we would all be singing his praises and talking up our chances of finals, premierships etc.

Rocca's injury hurt because we had to try and make up a gameplan without him on the fly. Next week will be Different as there will be a Roccaless plan. Once we get Richards and Fraser back, I would like to see C2 stay in the forward line and take some big pack marks like I know he can. We have an abundance of tall marking players, it's time for them to step up, which I think they can do.

I thought Shawry was great, got a hell of alot of the ball and really worked hard. Only problem was that his man Wells killed us. I see Shaw as more of an attacking winger, he has the speed and he always trys his heart out. Mick should have moved him off Wells.
