What the hell are you talking about???

Injuries are destroying our structure. The game was a toss up and a few bad misses cost us the game at the end. With Pebs not injured we would have won comfortably. Can't complain, they gave it their all.
That wouldn't be all that bad. We can relaunch from there, although after that (in no particular order) we have:Yarra Falls End wrote:J26 after WCE we play Hawthorn. I believe we should be aiming to be 5-5 after round 10.Despite the ordinary first 2 games we haven't been punished percentage wise.Remember we play these teams again with hopefully a much stronger team later in the year.If we keep improving and can stay in touch we are still some chance.
Burns? What did he do wrong last night? He was our best, kept winning the footy, got two goals and laid some crunching tackles. What more do you want? Lockyer tried his hardest, and his knee injury has robbed him of much of his pace. Maxwell and Rowe are yonug! About 14 games in!. Give them time, both show potential!Hiss wrote:Some like Williams, Davis, Woewodin, Maxwell, Lockyer, Burns (maybe), Rowe, and Holland should be traded at the end of the year. I have watched these blokes make too many mistakes, half hearted efforts, ineffective tackles, dropped marks, missed goals, all too regularly.
Exactly. So what do we do in that situation? Man them up. So what if it clogs our forward line. It makes it an even, one on one contest.Big T wrote:Was frustrating seeing Rock and Taz 3-teamed most of the night and Archer/Sinclair allowed to run riot across half back.
That was a shocker. Horrible kick.stoliboy wrote:3. Williams just seems to have a knack of turning the ball over in the most impossible circumstances i.e. hitting North Melbourne players on the chest when they are amongst a sea of Magpie players. The funniest passage of play was definately O'Bree getting the ball outside 50m (oh gawd), then kicking it to Willams who marks inside 50m (two duds linking together).
Agree. It was his best game for the season, and did a great job under pressure - especially the first quarter.bwphantom wrote:Oh and those of you who continue to bag O'Bree GET A LIFE, I thought he played his best game for the season and has improved marginally each week. If he continues to improve opposition WATCH OUT.

Why ?
Simple - they will be far more tenaciuos and harder now and that will lead to wins that before may have been losses.
This will bond the playing group closer together - and the guys that did not get a game will be busting their chops to get into the team.
This will be a very solid team unit that no none will NOT want to play for.
I am hoping this will inspire Taz to do more goal kicking work to improve even more.
He needs to have someone sit down with him and watch footage of Lloyd, Plugger, Piggy, Salmon and Quinlan (even Templeton). They ALL had a pre shot routine. Taz needs a pre shot routine as you mentally lock in and from there you are on Auto Pilot and you just execute AS YOU TRAIN.
Taz could be a 75+ goal FF this year.
I loved the way the team just hung in there - I thought they were gone - but the proved me wrong and showed REAL GUTS.
I loved Shaws game in particular - he is really stepping up this year and OB proved everyone wrong and MM right in picking him.
C2 was too eager and that threw his timing for most of the game.
I heard a saying on the sports network today about a golfer that is really starting to do well and it should be on everyones locker door.
STOP TRYING and START BELIEVING.
Pies are the real deal and if we can get back Dids and Stretch and C3 and or C1 are available we will spank the Bombers on Anzac Day.
I will bet last night the 3 most disappointed would have been - Bux, Josh and Pebbles - as they know if they were all there the Pies would have feasted on Roos.
This is still really the BEST thing for the Pies this year and we WILL play finals football in 2005.
