I don't care what anyone says, I'm pretty proud of the boys based on tonight's performance. Yes I agree, Tarrant and Carra missed two getable shots which would probabaly have won us the game, but on the bright side lets get the heartbreak out of the way at the beginning of the season rather than in September. However tonight's result makes next weeks clash against the bombers a must win, so we better not be flat. Hopefully Lloydy will reinjure his arm and Hird will $%ck up his knee against Geelong this weekend and we will get a easy win.
My only changes for next week would be Didak for Williams (a disapointing return for four rounds) , and C3 for Rocca as I thought o'bree played well enough to keep his spot.
Although this plea probably won't make a difference to any of you, I hope you go easy on the boys this week as they did give it their all tonight, you could tell that Tazza really wanted to dob that goal and he definetly has the passion to win. There were easier shots on goal that were missed beforehand namely C2's shot in the first quater when all the momentum was going our way but we only held a 5 point lead going into the first change. Also although Wells did well, noone bar Judd would have stopped him tonight so don't go bagging Rhyce as he got enough of the ball and boxed in Wells on every opportunity to justify him getting the tagging role.
One question is why do you reckon Leon and Cole had so little game time in the first half? Was this is a match up problem, a malthouse doesn't rate them problem or was the coaching panel waiting for the roos to tire before he injected pace into the side?
All in all, the rocca injury probably cost us the game as we needed the extra key position player after halftime. Go easy on the boys this week and look forward to us bouncing back on Anzac day. Carn the pies and stay positive.

Still a pretty good effort without Rocca, Fraser, Bucks, Didak and Richards to their solitary injury, Motlop. We are not far away if we can keep our spirits up. Injuries are destroying our structure. The game was a toss up and a few bad misses cost us the game at the end. With Pebs not injured we would have won comfortably. Can't complain, they gave it their all.

Cam Cloke is playing out of position because we have no choice. He is competing well but has a lot to learn as you'd expect. He'll make it, no worries. Made quite a few mistakes but don't be too hard on the guy. He has only played 13 games I think and spent 90% of the time on the ball. He's not ready for that role yet.

Collingwood aren't out of contention by a long shot.
I just looked through your list and you still have an incredible depth of players, with Fraser and Didak on their way back.
Keep in mind that Brisbane, Geelong, Port and St Kilda have poor win loss stats this year as well so the top 8 is nowhere near set in stone.
You've gstill ot the depth to put together a player structure that can beat any team on the day, if you can remain fairly competitive and win 4 of your next 8, you'll be ready for Rocca and Bucks to come back for the charge home to making the final 8.
