Williams got a extra posession than last week and a extra goal. If he keeps impoving at that rate will hit 10 posessions by round 7.

I loved Brodie's hardness and he frustrated the shag so much the shag forgot there was a foootball to be won in the first half.

Good to see some more direct footy in the second half

Bit of discussion about our calling Carlscum the Filth.
We have, and always will call them the Filth. As they call us the same.

I would expect no less.

I agree with you about Rocca and tarrant. In that second half they turned the game for us. Mate i always enjoy reading your reports. Keep it up.
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Get a copy of the video and watch Anthony Rocca's third quarter. We were gone at half time and he put in one of his best performances Ive seen. It wasnt the flashy stuff (although he did a lot of that) it was real courage-creating body contact when the lungs were screaming for air, it was running to contest when his legs were heavy and it was the captains efforts when we needed them. Have a look at who he goes to when the game finishes- the young players. He is a very underated leader-outside of the club. You only have to listen to Mick to know how highly respected he is as a leader internally.

The side can and should get better. There is lots of room for improvement not to mention four gun "recruits- Didak, Buckley, Josh, and Guy Richards to come back in.

It was a win for the ages.......but there are 12 more wins required to play finals football and 19 more rounds to go.

GO PIES...... :D

They just showed Taz giving Teague a left hook on the Fifth Quarter. It looked like a bit of a jumper punch, but I wont be happy until it gets the all clear.

Did anyone else hear Gary Lyon on 3AW during the 2nd quarter and at half time?

Rekons Presti is finished.

If you ask me, i'd say he added Fev to his belt today. (ofcourse 8) )

I am sure that at half time I saw a flying saucer come down and land in the MCG carpark. The whole Collingwood side was kidnapped and taken away onto the mother ship whilst a group of aliens that the field on thier place. It surely was not the same side.

The first half.

Short chipping
Ran around boundary lines.
The forward setup was straight down the middle therefore the only place for players to run to was out to the pockets.
Kicking out of bounds numerous times.

2nd half. Amazing difference.

Play with passion
Kick long and direct
Get it in fast to our forwards
Forward setup isolated Tarrant with other in flanks who could run to space in the corridor.
Had confidence
Get to the fall of the ball.

It was brilliant to watch. 9 goal third qtr. When was the last time we kicked that many in a qtr.

If Williams kicks 1 or 2 goals a game he will finish the year with 30+. Quite ok for a forward pocket actually.
Get back on top.
