When I really think about it. We can still win the whole thing.

We just might need a victory and that's all!

Well it could be the last stand, stand and deliver game. Our season really begins and ends with this match, we can turn our year around here and win this thing or, we can go down to the arch enemy yet again, admit our window has closed and start playing the kids.

No, we could win the two after it and be 2-3, still in business.

If we're gonna be 2-3, my vote is for a win this week (spare me the pain of 'da, daatta daaata') & ANZAC Day thanks. But at this stage, beggars can't be choosers.

We are not finished if we lose this week, although my social life will suffer severely

Yep Cam, we could even go through the rest of the year undefeated and win the flag! Or, we could wake up and smell the cattle sewerage.

We drop the first three and our confidence, in ourselves, our gameplan, the coaching panel, the bootstudder, the canteen lady, Ed's secretary, Neil's dietician, its all shot and we won't come back from that too quickly.

Playing some kids and getting high (perhaps even priority) picks at the end of the year, might be a better strategy than going with serial duds and the 'chip and prop' each weak, deluding ourselves that its still 2002.

Sure is good to be optimistic after round 2, but the way micks got the team playing it could well be us sitting sweet 16 after 22. I can c it now "Malthouse goes back to west coast" "Pies lose 22 straight"

last year we were talking about tanking and going for priority draft picks...a coupla wins later and all of a sudden we were talking the 8 (alas it was not to be).

Footy is 80% above the shoulders (or is it 90%?)...a win against the blues and then some Anzac Day inspiration and who knows?

I always try to be optimistic but this game is going to be really tough. However a win against carlton is just the thing a team needs to get going. Even if its the worst game we've ever played, if we win it will motivate us. I think this is a great opportunity. We are good enough to beat them. They lack in and under players, have a shabby defence. Their forward line is good but our backline is not the problem, it has actually been very good so far.

If the players want it enough, we can win this game. If we dont, things become very tough, we will loose belief and be very disheartened. All we need is 2 wins in the first 5 rounds, then we can bring players like fraser and didak back and make our move from there. However if we are 0-5, it will be an impossible task from there.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

Yes Dave and they lack key position backmen as well, If Llloydy had been playing last week theyd have been killed by Essendon.
