I've been saying that since his first game. He keeps a shitkicker like Williams but delists players like Rupert, Crowe and Mullins who actually did have some ability

When he actually learns to take a contested mark and not fall over like a deck of cards every time he gets a tap, then I will feel sorry for him. Granted that the delivery into the forward line was terrible today, but so was his work ethic and goal kicking once again.

I've been saying this for 2 years now culprit.Ive said we won't win a flag while Presti and Wakes are in the side, for 3 years, I've said Williams should never play for us for 2 years.I fortunately didn't see or hear the game today, but I've just watched the winners on austar and what I saw was gut wrenching. The first goal the cows kicked was a dropped handball recieve from cole 20 metres from goal, then a lonie clanger of clangers when he kicked to the corridor 30 metres from the crows goal under pressure, some cow prick picked it up and another goal  .Then waklin dropped a FREAKING sitter in the square another goal.To top it off, I looked at the stats, and saw Taz kicked his usual bag  1.3 Rocca 1.4
I've been saying for 3 years now that Taz lets Collingwood down with his poor kicking , Particularly when his goal kicking ability is most needed, much to the disgust of quite a few posters on this site.
I'm not saying I told you so, but please Collingwood hierarchy, if you see this post, can you teach our team how to dispose of the ball???
Williams 3 kicks 2 hbs, presti 2x2, these players aren't worth their salt and should now be told to play with willi for the remainder of the season , and leave at the end of the year.
I won't be watching the replay of the game because what i've read on this site tells me that MUCH more of the same is all I'll see.
I suppose that with the scum coming up next week, a win will wipe off the last 2 weeks embarressment and I think we WILL do it, but a loss will just about signal CURTAINS. :?
And you've got a bit to answer to yourself MM :(

What crap!
What happened to that player that used to run 100m to receive the ball?
What full forward in the comp averages less than 2 goals a game?
Tell me the last time he took a contested mark?
Why does he always lead into the bloody pockets rather than down the spine?
What sort of a return is 1.3 this week and 1.2 last week?
What happens every time the ball is down at ground level?

He is completely lazy, overpaid and overatted at the moment!

yes you are correct his kicking lets him down badly

look sometimes he does look off, but how you could bag him for today is a joke.... when you dont get not 1 decent pass not even lockett, loyd etc... would have a chance.
it wasnt his fault today, it was players such as licca, williams, obree, shaw, jhono, cole, who just have no footskills at all... yeah fair enough they might get the ball alot, and licca and jhono did, but whats the use if when you kick to your forwards you kick it over there heads or straight to the opp?? tarrent made some excellent leads today sometimes he was 10 to 20 mtrs clear but they still somehow missed him completly.. how that is possible for AFL footballers is a joke, and an embarresment, to our great club...
well once great club

1 Flag in 47 years, we cant be that great!

WHY oh WHY. do the magpies have to ALWAYS go out wide!!! we kick it out wide then we turn it over. they should be using the centre corridor where it is easy to get goals. there was heaps of times in 4th qtr when we had a few players in the middle, IF they looked up in middle we would of kicked the goals we needed.

the players have to stand up and tackle NOT be afraid of the oppostion.

Crows in diabolical display against Pies
The Melbourne Age - April 3, 2005
http://www.theage.com.au/news/Breaking- ... 45359.html

Before the match, Collingwood president Eddie McGuire labelled this match as a "battle for credibility", and on the evidence of the match the Magpies had little if any.

Collingwood's first half in particular was frankly appalling, and they ended the match with more than twice as many ineffective kicks and a shameful litany of basic skill errors.

"It's probably the worst half of football that you'd ever see, and I don't think it was Adelaide's fault because we dragged them down," Malthouse said.

"I feel embarrassed of the first half, and the players do.

"It was probably the worst half of football that I've been part of. I've been ten goals down at halftime and played better football than that."

Malthouse was not disguising his players' inadequate skills, which spread like a contagion from usual suspects such as Rhyce Shaw, Simon Pretigiacomo and the youngsters to those who should offer better.

"If they first one goes astray, they start to seize up," Malthouse said.

"It becomes like a disease through the blokes.

"We've just got to keep working on it and find some belief, but how do you find belief when you've had two losses from games where we've been in a position to win both.

"I am appealing to their strength of character."

The Crows were hardly outstanding but were in front for most of the day thanks to Collingwood's errors.

Pretty disappointing to say the least.

Positives: Caracella, Rhyce Shaw, Rowe, and Cam Cloke was ok apart from him going at a contest at full pelt and then just falling to the ground or seemingly give up after it.

Negatives: O'Bree, Williams, turnovers, O'Bree, Williams, turnovers, O'Bree, Williams, turnovers, O'Bree, Williams, turnovers, O'Bree, Williams, turnovers!!!!!

Worrying signs: Licca and Johnson turning back the clock and kicking how they used to kick. They're foot skills have been terrible the past two weeks.

Most desired move: Walker to full forward and leave him there. MM puts him there for about 10 mins a game and he just looks explosive every time he's there. That mark on the lead in the 1st quarter was awesome i thought. Last week he was good there for about 5 mins and at times last year he was good also. Would be very interested to see how he'd go with a full game there.

Why: Rhyce Shaw running into the forward line, scores level with about 3mins left and kicks short over Tarrant's head. From 50 out, wouldn't a long ping at the goals for any score the thing to do? He was one of our best today, but that one crucial piece of play gave me the shits.

Hey!!!! stop knocking, listen I know it looks bad, but look beyond, we just don't have a skilled and seasoned ruckman at the moment, Fanning tried hard last week but was out of his depth, Cloke much the same. Did you notice when Rocca went in we got back in the the game and almost stole it. They way we played if we had won it would have been an injustice. By the way where is Jason cloke, I don't think he played for Willy yesterday and he is not mentioned on the injury list.

Because that is what the game plan calls for;

... recieve ball deep in defense; chip kick, chip kick, chip kick, handball, handball to team mate under pressure, chip kick. Now we are at the defensive 50.

Repeat process to get ball to the wing.

IF we still have control of the ball when we get near our forward 50, Hold on to it for as long as possible to allow the opposition backs to a/. man up, and b/. flood our forward 50.

When this has occured, kick long to the contest that sees us outnumbered. When loose ball is recovered by opposition, allow them an easy path out of defense to allow them to kick long to a one-on-one contest, then watch them kick a goal.

END OF GAME PLAN.
