Yes, you could throw Cloke in there as well. Showed plenty of heart. more than I can say some others.dillo_09 wrote:You are kidding arnt you? What about Cameron Cloke? Same old problems. eg. no takling, not direct, poor delivery, goal kicking, lack of confidence, out coached, no depth. I know its only round two, but geeeeeeeeeez. Can anyone shed some light. And was there ANY ray of sunshine there today!!!!
The kid was awesome - showed brains and knowledge of the game and ruckwork way beyond his years.

What about Cam Cloke? Who the hell is coaching him on taking a fall for a free kick? how many times did he try that one on today? He's playing the same game that Jason Cloke plays.....would rather punch the ball than mark it and plays for the pretend free kick. I could see all those frees were staged and so could the umps.dillo_09 wrote:You are kidding arnt you? What about Cameron Cloke? To be effective he needs to stop listening to his father and play real football.

Agree with all the comments here.
We are pathetic, and will be lucky to win 5+ games this year. Time to finish bottom with priority picks etc
Whilst disposal into forward line is ordinary, Rocca and Tarrant both can not kick. We need key forwards that want to play and can kick.
Too many players can not kick on both sides of the body. They may have high possessions, but disposal is VFL standard.
Time to trade so called good players and get some pacey skilled players.
Coaching staff are 100% to blame, recruiting wrong players (eg Wowy, O'Bree, Williams; trading Scotland, Williams etc) and retaining unskilled players and/or those that can not kick on both sides.
I could go through whole side and find it hard to keep more than 5 or 6! But We need to keep 22 to field a side.
If we looked at whole list, each player has problems.
Davis - too inconsistent.
Wowy - gutless, slow, picks up cheap kicks.
Lonie - going backwards.
Bucks - gone?
O'Bree - poor disposal.
Cole - one sided.
Lica - no right side, and left not much better.
Williams - enough said.
Shaw - poor disposal.
Johnson - one sided, and poor disposal.
Presti - makes me nervous every time he gets the footy.
Even:
Tarrant - overpaid. should kick 70-80 goals a year.
Rocca - doesn't do enough.
Not much too come into side - Fraser, Richards, Didak..
20 more games to go - what fun!

Just got home off the train. Yes, disappointed, but its a long season. I thought Neon Davis played very well, attacked well, and kicked well (found Tazza on the chest with a couple of beauties).
The highlight for me was Johnno's hit on Tyson Edwards about 10 mins into the last. Edwards was killing us all day (30 touches till then?) and Johnno fixed him up good. He was one sick puppy leaving the field.

The Good:
Clem, Roids, Carracella, Cameron Cloke
The Bad:
Willo, Cheesy, Lonie, Taz, Rocca
The rest:
Somewhere between mediocre and terrible
The Ugly:
Still reverted to the chip and pause whenever the pressure went
up a notch
The unforgivable:
Disposal skills, cannot hit a target, cannot kick straight.
Just mind numbingly incomprehesable, the best facilities,
the most expensive coaching panel/football department
in the league and we have the worst skills in the entire
competition.
The revelation:
Hate to say I told you so Malty, but so did everyone else;
Rowe should be played week in and week out. He has
plenty of talent, pace and finds the footy. Still has some
flaws to his game but wasted at Willy and part of the future
at Pieland. Now for Maxy and perhaps a few more (Travis,
Egan, Heath, Yakka, Zane, Rusling, Davies -these guys
aren't really ready but blood them for the future perhaps).
The outcome:
Okay, we are missing Dids, Bux, Fraser and Richards but, if
we roll over to Carlscum next week the rebuilding has to
start. Its starts with turning over some of the kids and
seeing who has a future at the club, its starts with refusing to
pick serial duds. That doesn't mean picking them for one
week and playing them for five minutes.
The gameplan:
Plan 'A' is the laughing stock of the AFL, time for plan 'B'
and Jeeeezuz I hope there's a plan 'B'.
Long and direct wouldn't be a bad place to start.

Where do we start? The player who seems to be getting alot of it over the last 2 weeks, cant kick for shit. Send damn Shaw back to Williamstown to learn how to kick, promote his brother, surely couldnt kick as shit as Rhyce
Licuria and Johnson got over 60 possies between them, WTF were they doing with it?
I feel sorry for Taz and Rocca, every damn time Rocca marks it is in his fingertips. About 10 times each they have the ball kicked straight over their heads. Must get damn frustrating. Push Taz up the field as atleast he can pass a ball onto someones chest. The only chest mark taken today was when Taz jumped to get it on his chest.
Our disposal is shithouse,
Cam was very good, as was Rowe. Leon is improving this year in his new role, Caracella and Morrison are top pickups as they can both kick straight, Wakes and Clement were brilliant as always.
Cole, Shaw should be banished to the VFL with Cole lucky to get back in ever.
If this keeps up for the next month I would drop any player over 30 and play the younger players together to see if they will do any good, the only way to turn over your list is to give the guys a go and see if they are any good and then sack em. We did it last year and may need to do it again this year
Bulldogs and Crows are bottom 4 sides and we lost to them
And whatever hack was on the old broken down shit in Mcleod should be banished from any form of football for life. Only Collingwood could be thumped by him these days
