It was the perfect chance for lonie to play wing today. With the heavy flooding, Mick couldve used lonie to kick the odd goal from outside 50. That wouldve beat the flood. Thought Rocca couldve been used in the ruck more or about 60 out from goal. He is another who could kick over the flood. Clement and johnson was an enjoyable matchup with both playing good games. However we couldve tried bringing clement up the ground to kick a goal from outside 50. Best way to beat the flood but mick continued with O'bree, Holland, Shaw, Williams, Woewoedin and licuria kicking it inside 50, with none of them having lethal and precise kicks. We needed someone like lonie who could kick over the flood or hit a precise target. Clement and Lonie were needed in the middle.

I can understand Clement not been tried as he was needed on Johnson, but mick put wakelin and presti up forward unbelievably. Why wasnt someone who could beat the flood in a single kick tried. Morrison couldve been given a go on johnson.

Man our players must respect a guy who has blamed them every time one of his dodgy gameplans goes wrong.

He is going to lose them fast with his finger pointing attitude.

Just like Claremont we have hardly won a game with Guy McKenna in the box - MM f$cked it up but one of the blokes sitting next to him is a clown!! - or maybe he is just bad luck?

I really reckon that there isn't too much wrong with the team except for lack of passion for the football - When we had the footy no one wanted to RUN - when they had the footy no one wanted to RUN - what happened to the desire we had for each other as a TEAM in 2002? We look like a team of champions rather than a champion team!!!

With all due respect...some of the weirdo moves that were made were mostly because of match ups...when Wakeo went down to the forward line and presti went off it was because the dogs had all smalls in their forwardline..

i don't like some of the moves that Mick makes either sometimes...but i did have a look and reasoned to why he made them...and in hindsight...i think it was a ploy of rodney eade...i mean why not do that??

Anyway...we lost...yeah we didn't play that well in patches...all that all that...but hey...we choose our own attitudes on here...we can move on...get over it...or just be arses and bag the shit out of each other, the club, the players and game that we love so dearly...

grins...

thats me...over and out...

can anyone tell me what the hell is up eith the collingwood web site? i can't access it...damn it!!!

He is a highely paid coach who stuffs up on a regular basis. He hasn't developed the list to be a regular finals performer. While I will acknowledge he traded for short term gain, he has failed for long term thinking. His game day coaching borders on comical. The amount of players he puts on the bench when they are playing well is bordering on sabotage. He needs to seriously rethink how he coaches the game or we will be destined to be a failure as a club for many years to come.

COLEingwood i forget if i have mentioned it already. Just incase i have, mick moved presti and wakelin up forward in the last quarter when we were in the lead and no urgent moves were needed. As a result, doggies kicked 7 goals because we had no backline. There i said it. lol.

C2, Maxwell and Roww should all get a game next week. Drop Williams, O'Bree and another offender from this week.

In the end, it was the clearances and the shocking disposal that killed us. At one stage in the last quarter, the Bulldogs had about 20 more inside 50s than us. Dunstall said on the radio that there was no way Collingwood was going to win (said this at 3/4 time) if the Inside 50s remained lopsided - and they did...and Collingwood went on to lose.

Also, why do we persist with this chip, mark, chip, mark...chippity, chip, chip bullcrap? FFS, kick it long. We kick it short, fumble, turn it over, and this is repeated constantly throughout the match. I'd rather kick it to a contest in the goalsquare, or even inside the forward 50, than kick it short to someone in relatively the same position....and get the ball in QUICK!

I don't rate Malthouse as a coach...i feel after today we're back to square one...if you can't beat a side like the doggies ,you've got jack shit chance of doing anything this seaon....after today ,we're the laughting stock of the AFL.
I don't give a rat's ass about how we're in good shape financialy,if you can't win games of footy against a bottom three side it means we're nothing but pathetic.
Another thing i would rather see kids like Rowe in the side and lose, than hacks like Williams and Obree...the're not our future so why play them?

shit dave86 how can we blame MM for that???
well thats what some ppl are saying!!!

FFS i would rather have wakelin as a loose man in the backline then in the forward line!!!!! maybe thoes litle pricks wouldent have taken marks in the goal square

MM is turning into a D____HEAD!
simple!
Dumb Moves by a Dumb coach for a Dumb footy team, all falls back on MM!! sorry if some cant see that!
