I remember when St.Kilda or someone tried to flood us a few years back. We just kicked over the top of them and they gave up eventually. We have some great kicks in our side even with a few injuries.
Cant wait for the footy show tonight, With the line ups etc etc it means footy is back :!:

Another thing, I remember playing them last year, and Rawlings kicking 1.7 or something like that. I don't even want to see him have that many shots this time around (although I'm not sure that he had that many last time we played them).

I want the Pies to pump the Dogs - but, I'm nervous about this one. We play as we should and we will win, anything less and we will lose.

First game for alot of players who are still trying to get over the injuries that they had.Even though the boys have won 2 lost 1 in the lead up to the start,I would still be very wary of Bulldogs.
I still recon that the PIES will win,but it will be tight.

just Buckley that hasn't had match practice though, isn't it. The other 'injured' players: Tarrant, Cam Cloke, Caracella, Tarks...they've all played since and performed well in the practice matches.

3rd degree - so he is - even better! Ahh, good deal for Penny :)

And KEPREO, a few players haven't had any or much game time, one half of a pratice match ins't great preperation, Didak is still a bit crook (although looking ok apparently), Caracella hasn't had a lot of match time or match intensity training, etc. But it wont take long for them to fire, hopefully

Cam, Tarrant, Rocca- Tell why we would play Walker forward?

I would be suprised if he got a game at all, no need to go in to big against the doggies. Need to focus on speed and long kicking as well as good crumbers. To tall in a flood will cause you to lose many opportunities

How do they have more to play for? They suck, noone expects much of them. We have plenty to play for, our opening 8 rds are so easy that we need to make the most of it and not let chances like this escape us and shutup those annoying assholes writing us off. A game like here is when you stamp your name on the competition for 2005 by absolutely pumping them.

We have more to play for in the fact, our supporters expect more of us, we are a more succesful club. They will be happy with being competitive and not being last at the end of the year
For starters, I'd rather play Tex at FF than down back, its just that I'm not sure we have a tall enough backman, although I imagine Presty could probably handle him. How tall is Maxy? Also I dont think C1 will be selected (though I think he should). As was mentioned, the reason to play tall on a short side is to exploit their lack of height. We kick too long for flooding to work well on us. Also, unless Cam plays we will be going into a game without a single really tall guy who's played a game.

Why play Tex forward? Cam Taz & Rocca do their best work around 50. Tex is the perfect build for a stay-at-home FF, and doesnt have enough mongrel to play down back, he does, on the other hand have the perfect build for a FF, and given the lack of frees he'll get in a Collingwood forward line, he'll soon develop a bit of mongrel!

As for having more to play for, Rocket will not be satisfied with moving up to 13th, however my main point was that the only thing that can beat us is over confidence. I still think we'll win by 43, but only if we play to our full ability for FOUR quarters.

On White LIne Fever the other night MM said pebbles was flying. physically and in particular, mentally.

he has plenty of time to get over his ankle operations and looked good throughout the wizard cup and regional challenge.
