1st meeting for 2005

Just a reminder that the first meeting of the Geelong Magpies for 2005 will be held tomorrow night ( Tuesday 25th Jan ) at 7.00pm at the Elephant and Castle hotel, Mckillop St, Geelong.

This will be an important meeting as we try to get things organized for the year ahead.

Everybody is most welcome to attend.

Well we're going to start the year with a small balance in the bank but hopefully when memberships start coming in we may be able to get enough money to organize a function to raise some more money.

We will be putting a notice in the Geelong Advertiser hoping to attract some new members as well as posting information flyers around town. We will also be handing out these flyers on the train when we play our wizard cup game against Richmond.

A member who has since sadly passed away has donated two posters of Chris Tarrant taking two spectacular marks including his mark of the year against Geelong. We will be raffling off these two posters which will help the club.

As the year goes along we can hopefully get some new members, have a function have a few raffles and we can get that bank balance looking a lot healthier come the end of the year.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday Febuary 22 when we can see where we stand.
