It had been raining all day. Collingwood had failed to make the Finals. And a warm front was approaching from Yass.
The Master was ensconced in a Krispie Kreme donut (glazed) while contemplating supping from a translucent tupperware beaker of Bailey's and Sarsaparilla.
My mind raced back to our first meeting all those months ago at the express lane check out at K Mart.
She was paying for an adjustable ironing board cover and I was paying for a Barbie typewriter.
Something about her demeanour drew me to her. I'd never seen a kebab held at such a jaunty angle before.
I tried to engage her in pleasantries, but she ignored me. I noticed that a miasma of chilli sauce had dripped onto my shoe. Little did I know that this chance encounter would alter my life forever. On her way out, she pulled me aside and whispered the words that would change everything:
"If a ship is sinking", she said, "then maybe the rats have a point".

You must've been sitting near me, because i heard the exact same comments re: woewodin after that pathetic kick, and i was thinking the same as you. Why is Woewodin such an easy target for us supporters? He has actually been one of our better players this season. Get off his case!DaicosMagic wrote:As for Swan - he is the worst exponent of the field kick in the team. His kick to Woewodin at half back when we should have been streaming forward was disgraceful. It fell inbetween 3 Pies and a Carlton player took it forward an they goaled (and supporters behind me were bagging Woewodin for not getting the 'hard' ball - get stuffed d!ckheads, it was Swan's pathetic kick that caused the turnover).
Collingwood...The Pride of Victoria.
