NOT HAPPY
I thought having a bad season was bad enough but to lose to Carlton twice after having a handy lead JUST ISNT GOOD ENOUGH.
Now the Scum go 2 games clear of us I cant FN believe it
Forget injuries and the other BUll that goes on why we lose THE FACT IS why are certain players playing when we (people on this forum) all know they cant peform yet the coaches seem to play them..... People say maybe we are playing for draft picks but coaches etc wont admit that. So MR Malthouse how about you tell us why these players (that are always on other threads) get games when game after game after game they just dont peform ???? .....We were good enough to beat fremantle at Subiaco undermanned and against the odds why cant we do it against the sides we always thrive on beating (Specially CARLTON)

I dont know about others here but to me these games are a MUST WIN for us wether we are 1st or 16th !!!! Does MICK MALTHOUSE know this or does he need a lesson in our history ??? or does he not give a toss since we aint in finals

With you, Cam.

I had to go to a carlton site to get the result. (Deliberate lower case!)

I had been listening to 666 AM in Canberra. Gave up somewhere in the Third Quarter. So many goals to one.

Can't wait to hear what all our pro-Tarrant goons have to say about his "goal kicking". Sheesh!

This was a game we should have won.

My fury is powerfully focussed on the outcome, as it unfolded.

I'm listening to the radio.

I have David Parkin and Wayne Schass bleating at me.

No one has anything nice to say about Collingwood. In fact, Schwass says what those Coodabeen peanuts so often say, beating Collingwood would be nice. Great. Thanks guys. That's pretty EVEN HANDED broadcasting. Not!

Thanks a million, Wayne. Hope no one asks YOU to account for YOUR unpartiality. Conflict of interest? Oh nooooooooooooooo! He's only a pure bred Kangaroo/Swan. There's noooooooooooo conflict there.

Ha!

But I live in hope.

The boys seem to keep ahead. Bear in mind I'm listening to the radio. Each time a Blues player drills the ball forward, its absolutely brilliant play. When Collingwood flounder a goal, the problem lies with Kootalappafevupureass. No credit is given to Tarrant or Davis or anyone else.

But I live in hope.

Coz in 2005 we will ROCK THEM!

Carn the Pies!

If Rowe, Mc-cough or Rhyce get delisted after getting almost no game time that will be a travesty and very unfair. What is the point of picking them if they don't hardly get a chance?? Especially when fresh legs needed in last half and probably would have made the diff.
And let me guess...Williams does just enough after doing nothing all season. I hope he justifies it next year.
ONLy consolation is the higher draft pick might make a difference.

YEp that is amazing, might be a record! Biggest stats win for a losing side ever.

Except for his 2 of his last shots at goal..both curved off to the right and missed, he should have had them

very dissapointing to watch, but a nail-biter in the end. i hope the performance williams gave doesnt secure him a spot

Nothing will happen on the field until Eddie and the board get the correct off field staff in place that know what they are doing.

Skills - piss weak. We cannot have a team with Lica, BJ, OB, MCG, Cole, Presti on the field. Their collective skills are weak and the Blues have far better skilled players - and they shit. Power showed how great the skill deficiency is between a Top 4 side and the Pies.

Conditioning - disastrous. This has been an extremely poorly conditioned team since the pre season and MM blames the Xmas period - Crap. Quinn got told by Sheeds after round 3 that they couldn't run out games - it took them 4 weeks and they rectified it. Buttifant is not in the same class as Quinn - we need to upgrade to better than Quinn.

Strength - a joke. We were meant to be stronger after the incorrect pre season strategy (more like a tragedy) and that has also shown to be incorrect. Another cross for Mr Buttifant - who should be looking after rehab and warm up and warm down.

Team Plan - did anyone find it this year because it would appear that the players couldn't locate it more than 3 times during the whole season.

Pies off field are a joke and as much as I hate Aker he was 100% spot on with his comments about the Pies being soft - in skills, body and heart.

Wasted season - fix up the off field staff or be prepared for more depths of the AFL table.

sq3. Essendon had by far the most, nearly double i think, soft tissue injuries of all clubs. they did a hammy a week. don't go throwing quinn the medicine woman around because frankly it don't wash. just ask rioli, wellman and now mcphee (plus all the others).

My magpie heart is hurting bad at the moment.

2 stupid 50 meter penalty goals, and a throw that gave Carlton a goal and that was the difference. Carlton didn't have to play all that well and they still won. 3rd quater was pathetic.

Buckley's last three games have been poor to say the least, either he has been playing with a bad injury or we're in big trouble.

Cam - I Hear you - But we had Bux, Taz @ 3, Josh @ 2, Pebbles.

So our soft tissue injury tally was probably our worst for about 4 years.

The Medicine woman did get them up on endurence work and they ceratinly ran away from us.

As I said - we need better than Quinn.
