A pretty decent win from the boys, they scored a goal on the final siren to take back to the 2 goals but we were probably a 3 goal better side.

Willy started off well with a goal in the first minute and a half of the game to Sleepy Uhi. And a second not long after. As shown by the score the defence was rock solid and continued to repel any Werribee attack, of which there were a couple. Early stages showed how up Williamstown were for the match with almost every tackle sticking, which continued all day. Gary Lee (who looks a lot like Scotty Watters but who I kept calling harvey lee) was fantastic in the first quarter.

The second quarter was even on the scoreboard but Williamstown still looked in control. We lost Sheehan with what I heard was a quad injury and he was playing well. Was able to cover him though. The defence was still strong.

The 3rd quarter was ordinary, they got on top in the midfield but the ball had to only go near werribee's half forward line and they seem to be getting free kicks. Willy seemed to be running out of legs and the very warm day probably wasn't helping.

The last quarter we got back on top and some hard, tough, tackling helped willy extend the small lead we had. A late great goal from Rookie Listed Dean Benson capped off a pretty good victory for Williamstown.

Benson was very good in terms of the collingwood listed players.

Morrison started on the backline and played pretty well, was moved forward at stages and like all year worked his opponent over by leading all over the ground, often unrewarded. Not sure if he was tiring or not but seemed to be favouring his hammy, though when you thought he was not minutes later he was running 45 metres to make a contest.

Brent Hall had a day he'd probably rather forget, no real impact.

Fanning the same, not bad but not great. Both players spent a fair amount of time on the bench.

Still the tilt is on for another. May have to play better but good signs yesterday particularly the backline.

Good to see Benson doing well. HJe has struggled with injury this season and deserves a good run.
