J26 i think MM doesnt want to play Bucks on the ball because he wants other kids to learn how to play there. At this point of the season, why should we move him back there? Bucks in the middle - as great as he is - would not have changed the result yesterday. So theres no advantage in moving him in there so we can lose by less. We did not need to win that game, so i saw no problem in MM leaving him at half forward so younger kids can develop.

Now if it was next year and we were right in finals contention, and MM constantly played Bucks in CHF, and we were getting slaughtered in the middle like we did yesterday, then i would be dam frustrated at why Bucks wasnt there. But i am sure we will be seeing Bucks in the middle more next year. Perhaps for half a game to three quarters of the game so some kids can play along side him and learn the craft as well.

As to Bucks being frustrated, well we dont know what he was frustrated about but maybe it was due the boys in the middle who were doing a shite job - not necessarily the fact that he was at CHF. But we can only guess.

we dont have the cattle and now is time to get it right before bucks is gone. Get rid of O'bree, williams, lokan, kinnear, r.shaw, for a start trade tarrant and davis get the kids in the gym we are braggen about our worlds best gym so use the thing. With those trades we should be able to get some decent players that can kick straight and to there own team. Why keep players that would not get a game with the other scum!!
I agree to some degree but i dont believe in trading Tarrant & Davis

Forwards seem to get the rough end of the stick......From most games ive seen its POOR delievery to these players thats the problem

Tarrant stays. Leon goes.

You don't trade All Australian forwards, you do trade underachieving, lazy forwards.

For me it was all over when they named Williams - hell next week we may get him and Kinnear
I would nearly put money on it. Kinnear will play, as will Williams.

Who cares? The season is over. I'm hoping MM is experimenting, rather than actually trying to win games. I'd prefer to see some youngsters tested, than the people we know can play, doing their usual thing.

Having said that, we did play pretty shite.

There is no way we will/should trade tarrant. He's one of the top 5 forwards in the league and one of the most important players in our team. I thought McGough played one of his best games for us even though he only got 15 possessions. He didn't make too many disposal errors and got 5 tackles well done!

On another note with carlton beating Melbourne and Adelaide looking like winning if we lose next week we will finish in 13th :?

i'd trade tarrant to essendon for a mcphee and their first round pick . tarrant gets to play with his mate solomon and we get a class backman in mcphee (reminds me of a clement) and an earlyish pick in the draft to go with our other earlyish pick . what do we lose . a bloke who doesnt kick enuff goals as a forward and gets most of his possessions (overrated possessions?) way upfield . move rocca to full forward which would suit his aerobic abilities better , where he could take pack marks and short quick leads (not 85 meter leads to get the ball on a hff or wing position like someone else) .
and change the game plan . straighten it up to use a few big blokes in the forward line .
and while we were at it a straight swap for davis and wirrapunda might not go astray . wirrapunda played wafl at stages this year so if he wanted out the eagles might not fight it too much
this is in respnses to an earlier post about delistings and trades (tarrant and davis)

can u imagine trading tarrant to essendon, supplying them with a potential forward line of Lloyd, tarrant, Hird? Essendon would be loving it.

Tarrant will not be traded as he is our second most important player. Rocca by himself or tarrant by himself are only half as effective. Our Forward line is barely able to take contested marks and kick goals - why would we trade away our number one forward for a backmen?

Why are we even THINKING of trading Tarrant?? On the subject of Williams, he did ok in my mind. He wasn't actually THAT bad. He really did seem to put in but he just couldn't seem to get it right. He put his bodyu on the line and I'd give him a 5/10. A pretty good effort for a guy who hasn't played seniors since round 8 (St.Kilda). He just made one or two bad mistakes, which are the reasons he won't be persisted with.

I hope any team but Brisbane win the flag, including, gulp, Port. Oh except Essendon, who won't make it anyway.

Hopefully saving ourselves for the Blues next week. Always important to finish the season off with a strong win.

Shaw cannot play on anyone with an ounce of talent in the forward line - one on one contests he is probably the worst in the league. Tony Shaw suggested he should move to another club - please do. Glad MM tried something here, shows there is not much potential for Shaw as anything but a tagger, or maybe try him in the forward line against the Blues.

MM was right to leave Bux out of the centre. As he said these fringe players need to step up.

Positives Lonie, Rowe and Tex.
Buon Giorno
