Agreed, makkawakka. I couldn't see MM passing up a chance to play finals, no matter if it hangs by a thread.
Essendon are going to have enormous trouble holding down our, albeit still depleted, forward line: Walker, Fraser, Tarrant and the host of goal-kickers we've had over the last few weeks. Fletcher will probably have to take Walker who is big, strong and tough enough to give him a difficult time, leaving Taz to roam free and wide. The guy could take 20 grabs playing upfield.
We need to make sure Hird doesn't get on song.
We need to dominate the middle, the clearances even if not the hitouts.
Very winnable.

Alright, I'm looking foward to tomorrow night. Should be a RIPPER. Lloyd should play, I can't tell you if he trained today, it was a closed session.
We've bought in a lot of young players, namely Watson, Bullen, the Bear (Richards), Tricky Ricky Dyson and Winderlich. It looks like it'll be 2 young sides going at it with a possible finals berth on offer for the winner.
Our backline may be streched, especially with Wellman still missing. Lucas may get Tarrant, he'll struggle, but he has the pace to keep up with him.
Midfield, you should moider us. We need to be competitive in the ruck with Hille and the Chook or else we are gone. We will be faster this week with Bullen and Winda in.
Foward line will be interesting. Don't know who will take Lloyd (if he plays) with Wakes out. Hird could pose a problem if he decides to actually try this week cos when this guy tries, everyone notices.
So I'm looking foward to a great game.

I hate going in red hot Favourites. I am hoping we win, but it would not suprise me if we lose. Not to many years have passed when we have been beaten by Essendon twice so I have hope.
Need someone to test pretty boys shoulder early.
Hird is the one that seems to play great against us. Shut him down we have a chance.

We are not favoured by the bookies: Essendon 3/2 on ($1.65), Collingwood slightly better than 2/1 against ($2.10).
Essendon do usually beat us - I think our record is 2-9 against them recently.
However, I doubt if any of us have forgotten that, in Round 22 last year, we beat them 12.11 to 9.13 in a game we needed to win to ensure we stayed in the top four (and, simultaneously, Essendon needed to win to try to make the Four). There was SO much riding on that game. When the season is on the line, there's a lot to like about the way our guys go about doing the business.
