the best all round team effort this year so far. There were no real passengers tonight. Cheesy played his best game for a while as did Woey

Wow! Another hard night at the office, but the boys did us proud.

No matter who gets traded/delisted/retires at the end of the year I would just like to thank all the players/coaches tonight for restoring the pride in our club.

MY BLOODY GOD!

WE WON!!!

hahahahaha i just cant believe it i didnt let myself believe that we would win till there was 2 minutes on the clock because as we all know Collingwood usually finds ways to lose but NOT THIS TIME!!! King was a gun, Crow looked very very gutsy and determined, Maxwell continued his very good defensive work and LEON LEON LEON!! Even Obree the useless fool managed to play an awesome first quarter to get us going!

What the hell did Mick say to the players? We played as a team for the first time since last years prelim! Great solid contribution and special mention to Clement who has almost reached Burns-like respect levels after playing with a badly hurt cheek.

I waited for the match on TV without listening to anything for once and it paid off because the torment in the last quarter is all the fun of footy...

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO PIES!!!!!!!

PS. 22 behinds?? what is that?

From Jay:

What a game tonight... i thought (except for severe inaccuracy) the pies were absolutly fantastic tonight...

Obree, Woewoden, Burns, Clement, Davis, Johnson, Lokyer were all fantastic..

I thought Maxwell was really good as well, and Crow showed something for his first game with a few really good marks... King was great with 3 goals as well...

theres probably a few i have forgotten... but was very impressed tonight... especially considering that we still have half our senior side out injured.

Awesome game! Had me on the edge of my seat for most of the night!

Kicking could have been better, but hey, not complaining too much... I'm just glad we won the game!

What a game for Leon though, was great to watch him today.

I'm glad all these young guys are being given a go, and good to see them all very happy whilst singing the club song after the game! :)

Gutsiest win since the 02 Port Final. Inspirational.

What would you prefer, the mandate of mediocrity - or that magnificent performance.

I have waited 19 rounds for a performance like that. I am glad I was wrong about their chances, they were fantastic.

Dead right Cam. Nothing like a win against the odds. You were right from the start with believing in playing the season out as hard as possible for the development of the side - the youngsters are growing every week and should go into the preseason full of confidence.

Love watching Kingy in the forward line - absolute excitement machine.

Crow and Maxwell are both tough and seem to have some composure which is more I can see for the 22 Freo players tonight. Not even the umpies could get them back in it tonight. The PIes were so focused they didn't even complain or get rattled by decisions that went against them and that was very refreshing - would love to see more of that.

Even though Rhyse had an up and down game he still finds important targets with his kicking at crucial times and we have to keep working on that.

And Jeff Farmer is officially a wanker.

Great effort from the boys tonight.

The best part of the night was when Farmer took a mark just after the final siren and booted the ball away. Probably his best kick of the night.
