Whew!!!
Looked like another one was going to get away from us. Well done to the boys for lifting instead of just giving in like they did against Carlton and Melbourne.
I thought Shacks looked good for the short period he was on. He tackled well and found a target with his disposals. King played his best game for the team and our short defense battled well all day.
Once again the umpiring was puzzling. We had our share of "what the...?" free kicks but I honestly thought that Richmond had way too many iffy ones.

He (King) seems to have a strong head on his shoulders as he didn't get too carried away in his post match interview. Good on ya Kingy!!!
My only worry is that we looked pretty ordinary in the middle when Bux wasn't in there and we could have done with some % today. But besides that it was a good win considering our makeshift forward and back line.
Well played to B Holland, R Cole, J Clement, Shaw and even Shacks when he was out there.
If Sydney and Essendon lose we'll be two wins out of the eight, although next week will probably deflate our finals dream as I don't think we have the side on paper to beat Freo over there.

Well done, good win. Great effort to kick 100 points again without our forwards.
But that last quarter....geez. Enough to make ppl wonder if we were tanking it or something. It almost looked as if we didnt care.
Shacks and king were good. How long does Obree have left? I dont think very long at all......

Was a good exciting game (made up for last weeks shocker.) I think James Clement probably had one of his worse days ever but was still serviceable (says a lot about the man). Shack looked like he was fine with the speed of afl and was good for the time he was on. Leon Davis has really taken a step up this year. He wasn't a match winner but he's doing little things around the ground for us and his clean hands are a bonus.

Kingy! You are a little legend! Well done son, enjoy it and we hope you enjoy a long and successful carrer.
On another note, well done to Bucks, Lones, Jonno, Clemo and Tex. All played great games. And well done Shacks as well.
If we had kicked for goal properly in the last quarter, we would have had it in the bag.
*Match review up soon*

That game has made me see the error of my ways in saying we should go for priority picks and also I didn't care too much after we couldn't make the finals. I now stand corrected. Pride in the jumper is everything and beating Richmond is even more. The boys wanted it and it can't have been easy for them to wrestle back the momentum in the last 3 minutes after being beaten so badly in the last quarter.
Apart from King's goal, highlight for me was his effort in the first quarter when he grabbed the ball, kept his composure, touched the ground, got up and around a tiger and hit the chest of a forward. Loved it.
I thought Shaw showed today he has a lot of work to do if not playing solely as a tagger. Definitely worth persisting with but decision making and reading of the play was out of sorts. Need his pace and if he can get more consistency with his kicking could be very damaging, but tends to fumble and make poor decisions at crucial times.
Thought Brodie Hollands toughness was pivotal all day. Fraser had probably his worst game in recent times - Richards was missed against Ottens in the first half.
Love the work by the cheersquad with the tissues - Richo definitely hates the Pies.

Dutchy was one of our best today. He seems to be able to shrug off alot of tackles with his upper body strength. I also thought tarks was good today after a bit of a poor start.
We really struggled in the middle when bux wasnt there. That is a bit of a worrying sign. Also, we got matches against some big forwards (Lloyd, Fevola, Tredrea). We did ok on Richo today, but we were fortunate he kicked 6 behinds.
Jimmy seemed a bit out of sorts today, but still played ok..... which shows what a great season he is having. Johnno was prob our best today, kept on running and running. Tex was good, provided a contest on most occasions. Woey was a bit hold and cold. Did some good things, and some terrible things.
I cant believe Obree missed that goal right in front...... how many more chances will he get? Why cant MCG get a game over Obree?
