Round 16 vs Frankston
Williamstown vs Frankston
Date/Time: Sunday July 25, 2:00pm start
Venue: Burbank Oval, Morris Street Williamstown (Melways Map 56 D12)
Reserves:
Williamstown vs Frankston
Date/Time: Sunday July 25, 11:10am start
Venue: Burbank Oval, Williamstown
The Seagulls take on Frankston on Sunday 25th July in what shapes as a do-or-die clash.
The inconsistent form of the Seagulls continues, going down to the Northern Bullants the week after upsetting one of the flag favourites in Port Melbourne.
With the season on the line the Seagulls must regroup and play with determination and apply plenty of pressure upon the Dolphins.
Also, this game will see Troy West play his 200th VFL game.

I'm sick and tired of this iconsistancy! how the hell can we beat Port one week, then go down to the Bullants the next? It's just crap!. We have a great list, and some great leaders, there is no reason for this crappy football. Really, we should beat the Dolphins... If we don't, something needs to be looked at!
Good luck, and well done to Westy for making it to 200 games!

From what I saw of him, he wasn't involved in a lot of the play as he was often dragged away from the ball.
However, what I did see of him was impressive considering the amount of time he has had away from the game.
He looks the part body wise, has clean hands (one grab) and quick in his decision making.
Balmey was there early, and I noticed he was taking notes after each passage of play that Zane was involved in, but I couldn't see what he wrote.
The most important thing is that he played out the whole game without any problems.

He would have been next in line.
For some reason, he got dragged early in the first quarter (me thinks that there was a mis-match), but returned in the second.
He took a couple of 'hangers', but as they were on the beach side of the ground, was too far out of range for my camera.
He did play well, but not as dominant as previous weeks. Don't think it has hurt his selection chances.

For some reason, Bo seems to be struggling to have any major influence in a game. A lot of his possessions come due to him being able to find space, and thus being a link man, and then takes time to dispose and is forced to kick to a contest, often resulting in a turnover.
As a KP backman, Brent does everything expected of him, and although not being spectacular, gets the required job done. He's now seeing out the game (has the occasional breather on the bench) and is difficult to get past. He could see time in the Williamstown seniors before seasons end, mostly due to injuries to Collingwoods talls, so will be interesting to see how he handles the extreme pressure and intensity.

The usual great service Dale61. I am particularly interested in Zane. During the practice matches some of the guys who went regularly kept pushing for Rowe and Leonard. Rowe has done everything right so far and we can hope Leonard progresses along the same path. He is something we lack at Collingwood,an outside midfielder. We have plenty of guys who lack a bit of pace but can get in and under. Leonard is the type of player to provide the link. Look forward to updates for the rest of the year. Thanks again.
Do not adjust your mind. The fault is in reality.
